I’m sure we’re all sweltering as France moves on to its fifth (!) heatwave since summer began, but you might as well make the most of the weather before autumn rears its ugly head and clouds and rain become the norm again. So, where actually is the best place to catch a bit of sun?
1. Starting off strong with the location featured in the video above, I recommend heading on over to Place des Vosges in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements! This historic square is the place for you if you value location above all — with all of Le Marais to explore nearby when you’re done.
2. Paris Plages. Until August 30th, you can sunbathe (and even swim!) by the Seine at three designated spots across the city. So, consider breaking out the bikini and setting up shop in the 10th, 7th, or 19th for a day!
3. Moving back to solid ground, Parc des Buttes-Chaumont in the 19th arrondissement has it all: mountainous views, a sprawling lake, and plenty of room to roam!
