The Question of Play
Why asking better questions might be the most radical design for play ✨

As we explore the world of design and education, we keep coming back to the concept of play. What fascinates us is how elusive it is.

When we try to guarantee play, we often risk over-engineering it. Yet real play flourishes in looseness, unpredictability, in the little gaps in between.

So what if instead of prescribing more, we designed for curiosity? What if the most radical act is simply encouraging children to question the world around them?

We’ve explored this further in our latest writing, reflecting on design, education, and The Wonder Why Society’s ethos of play as questioning.
