SALTO EuroMed is launching a new edition of its ESC Community of Practices in 2026! This year, the Community of Practices (CoP) will focus on volunteering and its impact on organisations, communities, and volunteers across the Euro-Med region.

We are looking for practitioners involved in volunteering who are willing to actively contribute to a collaborative and reflective working space. This is not a passive learning activity, but a community of practitioners who will:

🔹 Share experiences
🔹 Reflect critically on current volunteering practices
🔹 Co-create practical outputs and approaches connected to local realities

The objectives of the CoP are to:

✅ Develop a shared understanding of volunteering impact on young people, organisations, and communities in the Euro-Med context
✅ Co-create practical tools to assess and strengthen the impact of volunteering
✅ Foster Euro-Med cooperation and encourage future partnerships and joint initiatives

Main topics will include:

🌱 Impact on young people: skills, empowerment, inclusion
🏢 Impact on organisations: capacity-building and sustainability
🏘️ Impact on local communities: relevance and long-term change
🌍 Euro-Med dynamics: partnerships, equity, and mobility

Expected outcomes:

📘 A practical resource (toolkit / framework / guidelines)
📚 Concrete case studies
🤝 A network for future collaboration

There will be 5 online meetings of 2 hours each, and attendance to all meetings is required.

This CoP is for you if you want to:

✨ Reflect on your practice
✨ Gain tools and new perspectives
✨ Build partnerships
✨ Contribute to a shared Euro-Med vision

The European Solidarity Corps is the EU youth volunteering programme, and SALTO-EuroMed is responsible for its implementation in South-Mediterranean countries, including the Quality Label and training opportunities for volunteers and organisations.

This session is designed for those who want to better understand the Quality Label process, with a specific focus on the application form. Rather than presenting the European Solidarity Corps programme in detail, we will concentrate on the writing process and share practical advice and tips to help you complete the Quality Label form effectively.

Ready to move from theory to practice in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC)?
“Step Up in ESC” is designed for South-Med organisations holding a Quality Label and looking to actively implement ESC projects.

This 3-day online training will bring together mentors, project coordinators, and organisation representatives who already know the ESC framework—but are ready to gain hands-on experience.

✨ What to expect?
• Practical insights on sending and hosting ESC volunteers
• Guidance on project implementation & volunteer management
• Clear understanding of roles and responsibilities within ESC projects
• Tips on building strong and quality partnerships
• Ways to integrate the solidarity dimension into your projects

🎯 Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
• Understand the practical aspects of ESC project management
• Identify roles and coordination mechanisms within projects
• Gain the tools and motivation to implement quality ESC activities
• Learn how to find and collaborate with suitable partners

👥 Who can apply?
• Youth workers from organisations holding a Quality Label
• ESC mentors, project managers, coordinators, and responsible staff

Are you part of a South-Med organisation interested in joining the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme? This training course is designed for you!

“Welcome in ESC” will bring together youth workers and organisation representatives eager to explore the opportunities offered by the ESC and strengthen their capacity to participate.

✨ What to expect?
Over two full days, participants will:
• Discover the key actors of the ESC
• Explore the main features & quality elements of the programme
• Learn about the preconditions to join the ESC
• Exchange on good practices and challenges with other organisations

👥 Who can apply?
• Representatives of organisations (youth workers, coordinators, mentors, management teams, etc.)
• New staff or volunteers already involved in ESC
👉 Priority given to participants from South-Mediterranean countries

📌 If possible, 2 participants per organisation will be selected.

🎥 Before the training, participants will be asked to watch an introductory info session video.

This annual overview brings together a wide range of activities under Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), including training courses, partnership-building activities, communities of practice and thematic seminars.

Stakeholders are invited to explore the calendar and plan their participation throughout the year.

Online and in-person activities will take place across Europe and the Southern Mediterranean.

📢 Municipalities4Democracy EuroMed – Call for Participants

Are you a municipal youth policy officer working in the EuroMed region? This training opportunity in Rabat, Morocco might be relevant for you.

Municipalities4Democracy EuroMed is a French-language training course taking place 8–12 June 2026 in Rabat. The activity focuses on strengthening youth participation at municipal level and supporting local authorities in developing more inclusive and democratic youth policies across the Euromed region.

The training provides:
• exchange of practices between municipalities
• tools for structured youth participation
• peer learning in an international Euromed context
• practical approaches to embedding democratic processes locally
