Earlier this week, we joined the Sciences Po community to honour Angela Merkel! 🇩🇪

🎖 Sciences Po awarded her a doctorate honoris causa for her commitment to European integration, recognizing her as a stateswoman with an exceptional career, and one of the most influential figures in the construction of post-Cold War Europe. 🇪🇺

🌏 Chancellor for over fifteen years, she has worked tirelessly to promote Franco-German friendship and international cooperation, and played a key role in the migration crisis of 2015. 🇨🇵 🇩🇪

Dive back into the outstanding event that was held on 27 June to award the title of doctor honoris causa to the German stateswoman.

📣 We are thrilled to share that a group of our Sciences Po Summer School students had the honour to meet French President Emmanuel Macron at the Mont-Valérien National Memorial! 🇫🇷

ℹ️ As part of their course "Paris and War: From History to Memory", taught by Sciences Po Professor Guillaume Piketty, these students attended the commemoration of General de Gaulle’s 18 June 1940 Call.

Thank you to the Presidency of the French Republic, to the Délégué National of the Order of the Liberation, and to the late Companions of the Liberation for this incredible opportunity!

Today we welcomed 167 students for the June Session of the University Programme! 🎊

🌎 Representing 39 nationalities and coming from 22 countries, these internationaly diverse students will be studying the social sciences and French with us for the next 4 weeks.
