Our students stepped into the shoes of real French local last week !
During their French class, they visited a local market and ordered food entirely in French. To top it off they got to try the food they ordered!

Our trip to Paris continues!
After visiting the musée d’Orsay and the Louvres for first two days, we went to Musée de Montmartre on our last day. Here we saw where the swing by Renoir was staged and created our own version. We also saw work by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen who painted Le Chat Noir.

Our first day in Paris started at the Musée d’Orsay, where we saw art from 1848–1914. Seeing Manet’s Olympia and Luncheon on the Grass in person, after discussing them in lectures, was unforgettable. Later, we visited the Louvre to see the temporary exhibition of Jacques-Louis David’s work. Seeing pieces like The Coronation of Napoleon, The Oath of the Horatii, and the unfinished Tennis Court Oath.
The next day was another amazing experience, especially when we revisited the Louvre and focused on the 19th-century artists like Delacroix and Ingres. It was incredibly meaningful to see their paintings in person. After that, we explored the Musée Carnavalet, which was a fascinating journey through the history of Paris. The museum is entirely dedicated to this history.

Recap from a weekend in Switzerland from our students!
« This past weekend a group of us took a trip to Interlaken, Switzerland! We took the train, since we all have the Eurail pass, and it was about 3.5 hours through the most beautiful scenery! Once we left our bags at the hostel we grabbed coffee and went to a small park in the middle of town to enjoy the sun and views. The park was actually the landing place for all of the paragliders, and the next day Morgan and Alana jumped, too, and landed in the same park! We of course had to try chocolate and fondue while we were there, and all went for a hike along the river to one of the two lakes that surround the area. Morgan and Angelina even decided to do a polar plunge and jump in because the water was so beautiful (and freezing!) We did the essential souvenir shopping, and everyone got their share of chocolate, magnets, postcards, and even a customized Swiss army knife for the road! We were pretty much all in agreement that this was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been in our live. »
