Standing in front of the beautiful Eiffel Tower, under the clear blue sky, I sang “Hello Vietnam”…

It was not just singing —
it felt like I was singing with all my heart,
like I had never sung before.

I was smiling, truly happy, and fully alive in that moment. 🌞
Looking back at that video today, I can still feel the same emotions…
and it reminds me how beautiful life can be when we dare to live it fully.

✨ Version 1 – English
Hello everyone,
Today I’d like to share a beautiful Vietnamese proverb that shows the gentle wisdom of Vietnamese culture:
“Lạt mềm buộc chặt.”
Literally it means:
“Soft bamboo ties bind tightly.”
In traditional Vietnam, people often used thin bamboo strips (called lạt) to tie things together — bundles of vegetables, baskets, or even roof materials. If the bamboo strip was too stiff, it could break. But when it was soft and flexible, it could hold things together firmly and securely.
And that simple image became a powerful life lesson.
👉 In relationships, being gentle, patient, and understanding often creates stronger bonds than being strict or forceful. Kindness connects hearts much better than pressure ever could.
👉 At work, a calm leader who listens carefully often builds a more loyal team than one who rules with authority and fear. Soft communication can create very strong cooperation.
👉 In daily life, when conflicts happen, sometimes the best solution isn’t to argue harder — but to step back, breathe, and speak kindly. A soft tone can untie many knots.
This proverb reminds us that flexibility is not weakness — it is quiet strength.
Just like water can slowly shape mountains, gentleness can hold people together in the long run.
💡 And this is also how I teach Vietnamese.
Learning a language doesn’t need to feel like a battle. With patience, humor, and cultural stories, Vietnamese becomes not only easier — but also joyful.

Hallo zusammen,
Heute möchte ich euch ein sehr schönes vietnamesisches Sprichwort vorstellen:
„Lạt mềm buộc chặt.“
Wörtlich bedeutet es:
„Eine weiche Bambusschnur bindet fest.“
Früher benutzten die Menschen in Vietnam dünne Bambusstreifen, um Dinge zusammenzubinden — Gemüse, Körbe oder Materialien für Dächer. Wenn der Bambus zu hart war, konnte er leicht brechen. Aber wenn er weich und flexibelwar, konnte er alles fest zusammenhalten.
Aus dieser einfachen Alltagserfahrung entstand eine tiefe Lebensweisheit.
👉 In Beziehungen bedeutet es, dass Freundlichkeit, Geduld und Verständnis oft stärkere Verbindungen schaffen als Druck oder Strenge.
👉 Im Beruf kann eine ruhige und respektvolle Führungskraft ein viel stärkeres Team aufbauen als jemand, der nur Autorität zeigt. Sanfte Kommunikation kann starke Zusammenarbeit schaffen.
👉 Im Alltag hilft manchmal ein ruhiges Wort mehr als ein harter Streit. Ein freundlicher Ton kann viele Konflikte lösen.

Dieses Sprichwort erinnert uns daran:
Sanftheit ist keine Schwäche – sie ist eine stille Stärke.
💡 Und genau so unterrichte ich auch Vietnamesisch.
