How to spot a Russian? 🫂

If no T-shirt with Putin on, no bear or balalaika in my bag, then how you can say I come from Russia ?
Let’s learn some magic. If you see a person communicating with one of the following gestures, most probably you’re dealing with a Slavic person (Russian, for instance).

Here are some typical Russian gestures and their meanings:

1. Hands-on-Hips
🗣One is ready for assertive action / showing dominance / protest

2. Showing one’s thumb between the index and middle fingers
🗣Strong and rude refusal

3. Head off!
🗣Ultimative (non-negotiable) demand

4. Pointing an index finger at your temple and turning it about
🗣Saying someone is nuts/crazy

5. A wave-off
🗣Giving up or communicating a "whatever" with a sprinkle of "oh, come on!»/ frustration

6. Throwing one’s hat on the ground
🗣Expressing some kind of desperate decision

7. Beating one's chest
🗣Showing loyalty

8. Scratching the back of the head
🗣Being concerned about something

9. Flicking a finger on the neck
🗣Drinking gesture (invitation to drink or when talking about someone drunk)

🧠What do these gestures mean in your culture?

Hey 👋 let’s talk

Happy Monday!

Let’s see how colorful could be your pay depending on your social responsibility level 😏🥸

>black
You work for a company and you get paid, but there is no official document that proves it. It is a kind of salary on which no taxes are paid.
= «зарплата в конверте» - “salary in the envelope”

It is illegal.
>gray
You work for a company and you get paid, but only a smaller part of your salary is legal (=white) and the other is not (=black).
White + black = gray.

It is illegal.
>white
You work for a company and you get paid. It is an official, legal salary from which you and your employer pay taxes, it’s what you officially get.

Travel destinations for local tourism this summer is no surprise.
But. Russia is trying hard to make its tourist brand more attractive for travelers.
>>> Russian government launched a Tourist Cashback program which allows people to get up to 20% of the cost of their Russian trip. Program ends on the 31st of August and has some conditions to meet. But. Foreigners are also welcome.
Coool? See!
/ this is not an advertisement, it’s just me supporting good initiatives happening around/
