🏝️ Tucked away on the southern coast of Brittany, Concarneau is a dreamy blend of medieval charm and seaside beauty that often flies under the radar - but it absolutely shouldn’t. The highlight? The Ville Close — a stunning walled town set on an island in the harbour.

Other don’t-miss experiences:

🐠 A seafood lunch at the market or harbourside brasseries (this is one of France’s biggest fishing ports!)

🌊 A stroll along the coastal path for postcard-worthy views of turquoise water and white-sand coves.

🖼️ The Musée de la Pêche to learn about the town’s maritime past

🛥️ A ferry hop to the Glénan Islands, often called the “Breton Caribbean”.

Tip: Come early in the morning or stay late to enjoy the Ville Close without the crowds!

🎶 Everyone loves music, and utilising it is a powerful way to teach children English - and to make their new knowledge stick!

Here’s a simple exercise to bring song into the classroom…

🎵 Choose a simple English song.
✏️ Break it down line by line.
🗣️ Explain idioms, contractions and cultural references.
💡 Have students rewrite lyrics using different vocabulary.

What are your plans for your vacation? Are you heading home? Travelling abroad? Stay safe and enjoy your well-deserved rest!

We’ll be here throughout the summer with lots of fun content as usual, so make sure to check back in!

✨Did you know the Sacré-Cœur cleans itself? 🤯

Built with Château-Landon stone, this iconic Paris basilica releases a white substance called calcite every time it rains, which acts like a natural bleach. So instead of getting dirtier over time, it stays gleaming white!

🏝️ Paris Plage just got a whole lot better! After an extensive clean up effort for last year’s Paris Olympics, we are thrilled to learn that swimming in the Seine is now a summer staple for locals and visitors!

Swimming in the Seine has actually been banned for over a century, but now the water is clean, cool and ready for dip! From July 5 to August 31, three free swimming areas will be accessible in the Seine as part of Paris Plages. These will be at Bercy, Grenelle and Bras Marie.

Just what the hot Parisian summer called for!

Hello Paris Teachers!

Many of you can’t always make it on Fridays, so we decided to have a Thursday happy hour as well! Feel free to come to both meetups if you’re available.
