Defining words at HEC Paris, and in the Executive MBA, they carry a lot of weight.

It can feel impossible to make that next move, to sign up for 18 months of juggling work and studies, managing time spent between your family and your professional goals. It may never feel like the perfect time to take such a leap.

Jean Naimeh began his career as an engineer, and was working in consulting when he decided to go for his Executive MBA. At HEC Paris, he found a way to strengthen areas of his professional life like finance and entrepreneurship.

And it wasn't the modules alone that contributed to his growth, but his interactions with other members of his cohort.

Tony Phan, EMBA '23, still remembers meeting his cohort for the first time back on the first day of Module One.

He also recalls that first week's activities, including the Business Environment class with Professor Jeremy Ghez, where participants discussed navigating uncertainty in today's complex worlds.

For the next 18 months, Tony sharpened his skills with each session, and each exchange with his peers. His capstone focused on the future of the fragrance industry at MANE, which transformed into a role as Group Head of Digital Transformation.

Tony's journey is proof that the HEC Paris EMBA experience doesn't end at graduation, it helps you launch what's next.

P&Q Alumni profile: A big leap for a banking executive.

Osama Ezzeldin, EMBA Class of 2023, went from M&A banker to Assistant GM of Strategy at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait — crediting his HEC Paris EMBA for the shift. His biggest takeaway? "My brain is wired differently now... how I listen, how I read people."

His advice for anyone considering an EMBA: "Never pursue it as an accolade for your CV. Be clear about what you want to do."

🍃Putting nature at the core of business strategy

Hassan Sachedina’s story is not just about carbon markets or regenerative agriculture. It is about learning to speak two languages at once: the language of ecosystems and nature, and the language of finance and bottom lines. It is about believing that doing good and building a viable business are not opposing goals – and that the planet is not a backdrop to the economy, but a stakeholder in every decision we make.

From June 15-19, HEC Paris welcomed 38 Executive MBA participants from 16 partner schools on our campus, for the GNAM program "AI Ready for Business" led by Academic Directors Cathy Yang and David Restrepo Amariles.

Visits to Station F, the Atos Innovation Center and SAP were highlights of the week.

Thank you to all the professors, companies and partners for making this global, future-focused experience possible.

We were delighted to welcome this wonderful group of participants to HEC Paris.
