Hey friends! I’ve created a list of 100 “must know” jazz drummers. With 4 albums each, that I believe are all amazing and milestones in the jazz history. So: 400 albums total!! 😃😃It is totally subjective of course, this is just my personal list, with the people that influenced me the most.
This list goes across 100 years of jazz history: the oldest drummer is Sonny Greer born in 1895 and the youngest is Ofri Nehemyah born in 1994 (yes, I wanted to include a lot of young players that I believe are super influential in today’s world!). Stepping it up!!
Subdividing a beat from 1 up to 10 notes and going back down…but… each of these notes are doubled…! Amazing exercise to develop your double stroke roll and your sense of time!!

One of the best method to practice rhythm and independence: the RITMÍCA method.
This is a series of “long” notes and “short” notes that you need to play while singing and snapping a rhythmic melody. Amazing work for your inner time and independence…!! Here, playing it with groups of 5’s on my left hand… try it out!!!

This is how I practice my finger technique... this is the "wave" N.4: playing single strokes with both hands together, and going through all the four different wrist/finger positions explained.. have you tried it..?!
