🇫🇷 14 juillet : l'Institut Polytechnique de Paris au rendez-vous de la Nation

L'École polytechnique et l'ENSTA ont une nouvelle fois participé au défilé du 14 juillet. Deux écoles de l'Institut Polytechnique de Paris placées sous la tutelle du ministère des Armées, qui contribuent à former les ingénieurs appelés à répondre aux enjeux stratégiques de défense et de souveraineté.

⚔️ L’École Polytechnique

Fidèle à sa prestigieuse tradition, l’École polytechnique était représentée par une délégation de 360 élèves-ingénieurs. Esprit de corps, discipline et sens de l'engagement ont marqué leur participation au défilé, reflet du rôle stratégique de l'X au service de la Nation et de sa contribution aux grands enjeux de défense, notamment dans les domaines de l'intelligence artificielle, de la cybersécurité et du quantique.

⚓L’ENSTA

39 élèves-ingénieurs militaires du corps des IETA (Ingénieurs des Études et Techniques de l'Armement) étaient présents sur les Champs-Elysées pour représenter l'excellence de leur formation qui les prépare à exercer des missions d’expertise et de conduite de projets à la DGA - Direction générale de l'armement afin de concevoir et mettre en œuvre les programmes d’armement les plus innovants. Formés sur les campus de l’ENSTA à Brest et Paris-Saclay (et de l’ISAE-SUPAERO à Toulouse), ils incarnent l'avenir de l'ingénierie de pointe appliquée aux systèmes de défense navals, terrestres, aérospatiaux et cyber.

[IPParisVivaTech2026]: A look back at IP Paris’ innovation ecosystem

From June 17 to 20, Institut Polytechnique de Paris took part in the 10th edition of , bringing together startups, researchers, students, interdisciplinary centers - , Engineering for Health (E4H), Hi! PARIS Center - AI for Science, Business & Society! - and industry partners.

Over four days, IP Paris showcased 27 startups supported by its 5 incubators (.novation.center, ENSTARTUPS , , Incubateur Télécom Paris, .starter ), innovative research projects, and collaborations addressing key challenges in AI, healthcare, cybersecurity, energy and industry.

The event also highlighted new partnerships, including collaborations with Danone and Amilabs , strengthening connections between academic research and industrial applications.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, our startups, researchers, students, partners, teams and VivaTech who made this edition a success!

IP Paris is launching the 8th edition of its Prematuration Call for Projects 2026, operated by its Innovation Lab, to identify and support innovative projects emerging from its laboratories.

Researchers, faculty members, engineers, post-doctoral researchers, PhD students or students at IP Paris, this call helps you take a key step in bringing your research into real-world applications:

✨ better understand user needs and the techno-economic positioning of your project
✨ develop a prototype or proof of concept
✨ strengthen and secure intellectual property

💡 Each selected project may receive up to €80,000 in funding for a one-year period, along with joint support from its Technology Transfer Office and the IP Paris Innovation Lab.

This Thursday, June 25, the two winners of the local competition will take the stage to represent the Institut Polytechnique de Paris against finalists from Université Paris-Saclay, Université PSL, and HEC Paris.

🎤 Their challenge: present their PhD research in English, in just 3 minutes, in a clear, accessible, and engaging way.

👏 Come and support our two finalists:

• Safa Gharbi, PhD student at the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films (LPICM*) at École Polytechnique, first prize of the jury.

• Juan Lorenzo Santana Gonzalez, PhD student at the Irradiated Solids Laboratory (LSI**) at École Polytechnique, second prize of the jury and People’s Choice Award.
