Open Water Swim Coaching

Dear Open Water Swimmers & Friends,
Traditionally, after our last Open Water Swim Coaching session on Tuesday, August 25th, there will be a Cocktail organized by the Bar of the Plage du Reposoir as an opportunity for us to get-together and to close off the open water swimming season 2026.

This year’s theme will be “The Beauty of Lake Geneva” – come dressed as
whatever the lake inspires in you — the shimmering blue waters, elegant
sailboats, CGN boats, majestic mountains like Mont Blanc or the Salève, the full moon rising over the lake, iconic sights such as the Jet d’Eau or Château de Chillon, or even local wildlife like catfish or puce de canard.

There are no rules — just creativity, elegance, and fun.

Surprise us with your unique interpretation of this magical theme. There will be prizes for
the 2 best dressed party guests. Your efforts will be rewarded.

The participation fee per person is 20 CHF which includes all food & drinks.

Since the event will be catered by the Bar, we need to know by Sunday, August 23rd how many people will come.

PLEASE pay the 20 CHF via TWINT to Alex upfront or in cash on arrival at the Cocktail party. You will get your Ticket from Coach Alex.

🌊 OWSC Community — Join Us for World Drowning Prevention Day 2026!

Dear OWSC swimmers, families, and friends,
In exactly one week, we will host our first-ever open community event for World Drowning Prevention Day, part of the global movement led by the World Health Organization (WHO). This is a moment for all of us to come together, learn essential water‑safety skills, and show how our lake community can make a real difference.

What’s happening at the event?
- Educational Workshops — Learn how to recognise drowning signs, react safely, and call for help.
- Rescue Demonstrations — SISL professionals show safe rescue techniques and flotation device use.
- Guided Community Swim — A supervised, beginner‑friendly swim along the shore.
- Children’s Zone — Games, lifejacket try‑on, and a fun water‑safety quiz.
- Collective Pledge — “Do One Thing to Prevent Drowning.”

The event is FREE & OPEN TO ALL — bring your family, your friends, and your curiosity!

Drowning is preventable.
Everyone can learn simple skills that save lives.
