🔆 Two years came to a close after much hard work, precious new friendships and eight big weekends spent together in Rome, Berlin, Nice, Vienna, Budapest, Brussels and Barcelona. Congratulations to the 2026 cohort of the Executive Master in EU Studies, who concluded their studies with a workshop and a festive dinner on the beach in Nice!

🌸 The sun has returned in Berlin and the EUGOV students made the most of the weather during a series of visits to the political institutions.

🇸🇪 First up at the Embassy of Sweden in Berlin, the group were introduced to Swedish foreign, security and defence policy, learning more about the country’s accession to NATO and Swedish-German cooperation.

🇩🇪 Then during a visit to the Federal Chancellery, Edgar Lenski, Deputy Europe Advisor, outlined the work of the DG in European Affairs identifying and solving potential conflicts between ministries.

🪩 The students then took part in a guided tour of the Reichstag building, home to the German Parliament, with its dome. The learnt more about the working methods and composition of the parliament and the history and architecture of the building.

🔺 At the Berlin Senate, Johanna Eisenberg, Deputy Head of the European Affairs Division, explained more about the Berlin metropolitan area in the EU, highlighting the city’s strategic goals such as engagement in European decision-making and cross-border cooperation.

🔹 Finally at the think tank Polis 180, the students found out more about young voices and their perspectives on German foreign and European policy.

🙏 Thank you to all the speakers and tour guides for contributing to a successful series of visits to understand the German institutions.
