🌲🏞️ Adventure in the Vallée des Merveilles: MSc Risks M1, M2, and Alumni Edition! 🏞️🌲
Late September 2023 was a time of exploration as our MSc Risks M1, M2, and alumni students embarked on a 3-day hiking journey to the breathtaking Vallée des Merveilles in Tende, South-East France.
🚶♂️🏔️ During this trip, our students set out on a hike through the Vallée des Merveilles, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the chance to spot the native chamoix. They also delved into history with a unique opportunity to explore ancient rock carvings, known as "gravures rupestres," offering a captivating glimpse into the past. 🌄🦌
🌟 But the highlight of their adventure was conquering the challenging Pas de l'Arpette, ascending to an impressive 2,511 meters! ⛰️
🏡 Their home away from home was the "Refuge des Merveilles," a place far from the distractions of phones and the internet. This intentional disconnect allowed them to form deeper connections, creating an atmosphere of genuine socialization and getting to know one another on a profound level. The refuge staff's warm hospitality and the delightful company of fellow adventurers made this experience even more unforgettable. 🤗❤️
This excursion was more than just a break – it was an opportunity for our students to recharge in the midst of nature's wonders and strengthen the bonds that tie them together. 🌿🤝
