Believed in Me

Every now and then, someone sees something in you before you ever see it in yourself. ✨

Sometimes, the most powerful lessons in life don’t come from a course or a book they come from a person.

Earlier in my career, a great instructor handed me the same old-school pointer he used the kind from before everything went digital and said,

“One day, you’re going to be a really good instructor. Keep doing what you’re doing, and everything else will follow.” 🎯

It was such a small gesture, but looking back, it changed everything.

It wasn’t about the tool it was about belief.

Someone believed in me before I believed in myself, and that belief shaped how I approach learning, growth, and life.

Over the years, mentors, friends, and leaders quietly left their fingerprints on who I’ve become. They showed me that the best learning isn’t about perfection  it’s about trust, connection, and courage.

Now, after all these years, I carry that same belief forward. I’m building my own path creating spaces where people can learn, grow, and feel safe enough to show up fully as themselves.

Because here’s the truth: we don’t get where we are alone.

And maybe the most meaningful part of any learning journey is when it’s your turn to pass the pointer and say,

“I see something in you.” ✨

And now, I do this not just for those who believed in me, but for my dad so he can see, from above, that everything he instilled in me is still here.

I’ve still got it. And we’re still doing it. ❤️

Who was the person who believed in you before you believed in yourself?

Reclaiming & Repurpose the Pages

There’s something sacred about an open page. It’s both an invitation… and a reminder that we have the power to turn it.

For a long time, I sat in one chapter of my life holding on to its words, its weight, its silence. I didn’t realize that the beauty of a story isn’t just in where we’ve been… but in the courage it takes to turn the page.

To reclaim the voice that’s been waiting quietly between the lines.

I am reclaiming everything about who I am the parts that were hidden in the shadows, the strength I forgot I had,
the courage that kept whispering, you’re still here.

Turning these pages isn’t about forgetting. It’s about honoring
the parts of my story that shaped me.
The grief that still lives quietly beside me. The love that remains. The lessons that echo through my father’s voice the best parts of him that still live within me.

Grief and growth can exist together.
Sadness and strength can share the same space. We are not one story. We are many.

And so I turn the page not to erase what was, but to write what’s next.
To reclaim my voice, my light, my place in the story. To honor every version of who I’ve been and step fully into who I’m becoming.

Because we don’t just live our story…
We lead it one reclaimed page at a time.

Leadership in Every Day ✨

I recently picked up a book written by my friend Althea O’Hara-Stevenson though I just call her Ali - The Distinctive Leader: Unlocking Leadership Excellence and Personal Growth. 📖✨

First, I want to celebrate those around us who take the leap to create, lead, and share their knowledge with the world. Congratulations, Ali! I can’t wait to dive in and explore your work.

Leadership has always been close to my heart. It’s not just a title or a position it’s a mindset, a practice, a way of showing up.

To me, leadership is about supporting others on their journeys, creating a space where people feel safe, heard, and empowered to become the best versions of themselves.

Sometimes I wonder if I had guidance earlier in life, how would my journey have been different?

Leadership isn’t about perfection it’s about courage. About stepping forward even when fear is present.

Fear shows up for me every day. Fear of mistakes. Fear of not belonging. Fear of stepping into new territory like building my consulting business.

And yet… moving through that fear that’s leadership.

Leadership is reclaiming your voice in new chapters of life. It’s about daring to be courageous, empowering others, and helping them see their potential.

Leadership is a journey, not a destination. Messy. Beautiful. Human. And worth embracing every single day.

To all the leaders out there, and those still finding their way: keep going. Keep walking through the fear. Keep creating spaces for others to grow. Leadership is about all of us, together.
💛

Congratulations Ali!!!

Lets take it back!!!!

A Year of Becoming Who I Already Was ✨

Tomorrow marks one year since my last day in corporate life a day that changed everything.

This past year has been full of ups and downs, growth and grief, rediscovering who I am… and remembering who I’ve always been. Leaving corporate isn’t as simple as people think. You learn who stands beside you, who steps back, who truly understands your process and is willing to stand in that space with you.

The early days were hard. I was very sad, lost, and unsure how to exist without that identity. But through it all, I found myself again stronger, braver, and ready to step fully into my new chapters, entrepreneurship and many exciting firsts!!

This year brought many lessons. Losing my father was the deepest. I thought losing my job would shake me but losing him broke me. Yet even in that heartbreak, I’ve found strength, grounding, and grace. I carry him with me into these next chapters, knowing he’s proud and that gives me courage.

Grateful for the lessons. Grateful for the tears. Grateful for the people who listened, understood, and stood by me.

There’s uncertainty, yes. But within that uncertainty, I’ve found so much certainty.

Here’s to the next chapter.
To becoming who I already was. To the woman I’m still becoming. And to my business that I’ll be launching next March a reflection of the courage and resilience this past year has built.

Here’s to growth. Here’s to truth. Here’s to becoming.

Who else feels like September is the "real" New Years? 😆👇

It's the end and beginning of many things:

👉School preparations
👉Summer is coming to an end
👉Cooler weather starts to creep in (and out)
👉A new, yet familiar rhythm is about to begin

The end and beginning of things natural puts in a space of reflection.
What have I accomplished? What is yet to be done? Have I moved forward personally, professionally, emotionally, spiritually?

And if you've been on the edge of change in your life, why not make September and the rest of the year your launching pad. Want to start a side hustle? GO! Want to take that class? GO! Want to travel to that place? GO! Want to join that women's network? GO! You get the drift.

You can't change the past, just be grateful for it.
You can't predict the future, just wait for it.
You're life is now so truly live it.

What are you grateful for so far and what are you planning for the rest of the year?
We'd love to know so share it in the comments!

The persistent struggle with body image. Like a wave🌊it's comes and goes.

Let's face it, while things have slightly improved, societal pressures about beauty still exists. Let's face it, even when we strive to think positively, that nagging negative voice can sometimes sneak in, whispering doubt into our minds.

✨ You're not alone! ✨ We all have moments when we question our appearance, doubting our worth and comparing ourselves to others.

The path to self-acceptance isn't always smooth. It's more like a rollercoaster ride with ups and downs, twists and turns. 🎢 Some days, we conquer the negative voice with a fierce determination to love ourselves, celebrating the unique beauty we possess. 🌟💕

Yet, there are other days when that voice becomes louder, causing us to question our reflection and planting seeds of self-doubt. 🌱 It's important to remember that it's normal to have these moments and to be patient with ourselves throughout the journey.

👉 Practice Self-Compassion: Take it easy girl! Treat yourself with kindness and understanding.

👉 Surround Yourself with Positivity: Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Follow body-positive accounts and seek out inspiring stories that remind you of the beauty in diversity.

👉Focus on What Matters: That's you! Focus on the qualities that make you unique.

👉 Acceptance: Remind yourself that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Embrace diversity and challenge the narrow ideals imposed by society.

Let's support one another as we continue on this journey. Let's drown out the negativity, and celebrate the beauty that resides within each and every one of us. 🌺🤗

A change in your environment, big or small, can be a game changer.

A change of scenery, a walk in a different part of town or for me this month travel to Europe, meet up with Jay, explore, laugh together and take time to sit with myself and take time to slow down and breathe.

I feel like my soul is alive again!!!

It is not to say I dont love where I live and the life I have built, but changing my environment for a little bit has allowed me to feel creative again see different perspectives, it has opened my eyes to so many things.

Changing your environment can be anything you want it to be. You just have to want it..

It heals and soothes the soul if even just for a moment.

So here is to my adventures of travel to France/Italy this month exploring the different villages and towns, meeting new people, and most importantly, spending time with those who inspire me to be better!!!

Remember, you can be and do anything you want, big or small, it's up to you!!!
