Working in France in 2026 feels… complex.

On one hand, 🇫🇷 France still offers something many countries don’t:

Paid holidays that are actually respected
Healthcare that doesn’t bankrupt you
A culture that values life outside of work

And for that, we are lucky.

But on the other hand, many of us feel the tension.

The cost of living keeps rising - groceries, fuel, electricity.
Small businesses are struggling.
Teachers, healthcare workers, and public servants feel exhausted.
Young professionals wonder if stability is still possible.
Entrepreneurs feel the weight of charges and regulations.

There’s a silent fatigue in many workplaces.

People are working hard - sometimes harder than ever- yet feeling less secure.

As someone who works in education and sees students preparing for their future, I often ask myself:

What kind of professional world are we preparing them for?

One where diplomas guarantee stability?

Or one where adaptability, resilience, and multiple income streams become essential?
