NEW FOR 2026/2027 - FRENCH FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS

Starting next week at the MJC Claude Nougaro de Montmorillon Tuesday 8th September (but you can join any time in September) is a new class specifically for new French learners, starting from the beginning.

Speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, reading, culture, a bit of grammar...

Tuesdays 9h30 - 11h00

**You don't have to register beforehand or phone or email or let anyone know, you can just turn up at 9h30 Tuesday morning - I'll wait for you in the main MJC courtyard by the front door. Your first 2 trial lessons are free.**

FRENCH FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS A1.1
Starting from the beginning - vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, reading.

Tuesday 11h00 – 12h00
FRENCH CONVERSATION CLUB
Informal chat, in French. Open to everyone, all levels of French.

FRENCH FOR CONTINUING BEGINNERS A1
Continuing with the basics - vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, reading.

Wednesday 11h00 – 12h30
INTERMEDIATE FRENCH A2 - B2
Grammar and conversation. Classes are mainly in French.

Thursday Group 1: 9h30 – 11h00 Group 2: 11h00 - 12h30
EVERYDAY FRENCH A2 - B1
To help you feel more confident joining in with French life – culture, slang, comprehension, practical vocabulary, etc.

There's no need to register in advance, you can come along to the MJC Claude Nougaro de Montmorillon in September to whichever class you like the sound of to try it for free.

🇫🇷 FRENCH SUMMER SCHOOL 🇫🇷

We covered loads of interesting and useful vocabulary in the beginner's class and lots of complicated (but essential) past, present, and future tense grammar in the everyday French class.
Everyone did really well considering how hot it was! 😁

French Summer School July 2026
During July I'll be running a 'summer school'.
Monday mornings
• 9h30 - 11h00 Beginners - 1 ½ hours of useful basics.
• 11h00 - 12h30 Everyday French (intermediate level) - 1 ½ hours of essential grammar.
We'll do a variety of activities, so it won't feel like actual school ;-)

The school year is coming to an end - classes finish 3rd July 😢 But we'll be starting again in September, learning lots of interesting and useful French!

L'année scolaire touche à sa fin - les cours se terminent le 3 juillet 😢 Mais nous recommencerons en septembre, pour apprendre plein de choses intéressantes et pratiques en anglais !

J'aurai exceptionnellement des boîtes de gâteaux à 15€ ce weekend. Une part de chaque: carrot cake, gâteau framboise citron, crumble aux pommes, brownie aux cornflakes caramel, tartelette noix, cookie chocolat.
À venir chercher de Saulgé à l'espace 2000 10h-17h dimanche ou livraison à Montmorillon samedi ou dimanche soir.

🇬🇧 Cours d'anglais le mardi soir à la MJC Claude Nougaro de Montmorillon 🇬🇧

Jusqu'à présent cette année, nous avons travaillé sur une grande variété de sujets. Vocabulaire, grammaire, prononciation, culture anglaise... le tout dans le but ultime de l'utiliser pour avoir des conversations. Ce n'est pas facile, mais on s'amuse ! 😊

J'ai aussi quelques élèves particuliers – nous travaillons les bases et nous nous en servons pour parler anglais ensemble.

🇫🇷 French classes at the MJC Claude Nougaro de Montmorillon are good fun this year! 🇫🇷

• 'Conversation class' on Tuesday afternoon, focussing on chatting in French about random topics
• 'French for beginners' first thing on Wednesday morning, covering the basics and learning practical stuff
• 'Intermediate French' on Wednesday morning just before lunch, working on (complicated!) grammar and reading 'Le Petit Prince' together
• 'Everyday French' (now with 2 groups) on Thursday morning, working on the French we all need to make life here easier and more fun.

I also have several new private students which is great - we're studying all sorts of interesting things.
