ClearNOTAMs : une fonctionnalité prometteuse sur ForeFlight, encore à surveiller pour l’instant ! 🔎✈️
ForeFlight déploie progressivement ClearNOTAMs, une nouvelle fonctionnalité destinée à rendre les NOTAMs plus simples et rapides à lire.
Sur le principe : on adore ! Tous les pilotes qui se sont déjà retrouvés devant plusieurs pages de NOTAMs savent à quel point un outil faisant ressortir rapidement l’information utile peut être précieux.
Après quelques essais, la fonction mérite cependant encore un peu d’attention : la simplification peut parfois aller trop loin, au risque de masquer une information pertinente ou de modifier la compréhension du NOTAM original.

ClearNOTAMs: a promising feature… still worth double-checking 🔎✈️
ForeFlight is gradually rolling out ClearNOTAMs, a new feature designed to make NOTAMs easier and faster for pilots to read.
The concept is excellent. Anyone who has worked through pages of NOTAMs knows how valuable a tool highlighting the information that really matters can be.
After testing it, however, we think it still requires some careful cross-checking. In some cases, simplification can go a little too far, potentially hiding relevant information or changing how the original NOTAM may be understood.
In this video, Orbifly shows a practical example.
A very promising feature. Until it is fully mature, always keep the original NOTAM one tap away!
