Dear PhD students,

📍The QMat International Graduate School calls for applications of motivated PhD students to join the QMat programme during their thesis😁

QMat students are eligible for financial support to travel and participate to conferences; they receive assistance to organise special events, workshops and lectures; and they are part of the dynamic QMat student community and an enlarged researcher network.

👨‍🔬👩‍🔬 A selected few students may also top-up their PhD grant by taking part in a QMat project ("mission complémentaire"). The expected work-load and remuneration is comparable to the "monitorat" (but it cannot be combined with a monitorat). Eligible projects can include helping to build a new physics lab (educational platform), to make available registered Master-1 and Master-2 Lectures to students, or any other task of general interest for the QMat student community.

Eligible candidates 👨‍🔬👩‍🔬: All PhD students with an interest in QMat themes and currently registered at an "Ecole Doctorale" in Strasbourg or about to start a PhD project in Strasbourg (whether they are already QMat students or not).

📍📨 Applications for a "mission complémentaire" must be sent to [email protected] before October 31st.

📍📨 PhD applications to the QMat programme (without a request for a "mission complémentaire") will be accepted at any time but you are strongly encouraged to send your application also before October 31st.

More info at

QMat Master students Application is required even for M2 students who were M1 QMat students. Applications open in February (for non-EU students) and May (for EU and local students) each year. They are the same requirements than for new students. Living allowance support QMat may exceptionally grant....

Hello QMat community!!
Despite the actual lockdown and the difficulty to gather again for upcoming👉💻👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 events, a new activity is born in the heart of Alsace during these months!
It is the...
👉StrasQC-The Quantum Computing Club of Strasbourg💻

Recently, the team of the StrasQC gathered in order to:
👉🖱 Review some of the basics of quantum computing and go over a quick tutorial on quantum circuits
👉🖱 Create a superposition of two qubits by using IBM online service and measure in a real quantum computer to create "quantum lotto"
👉🖱 Assign some projects to participants such as the Deutsch-Josza alogrithm, the Bernstein-Vazirani algorithm, the Simon's problem and quantum teleportation.
👉🖱 Have a look on the upcoming StrasQC logo

As this is a limited-place activity, if you are willing to get to know more about it, ask for subscription by writing to the page. Only a few more places are available for QMat students 🤞😎
