I am a qualified English and French teacher with over 15 years experience. Last year I passed the reputed FLE diploma to enhance my French teaching. I am passionate about what I do and hope to inspire and motivate my students on their language learning journey. My lessons are tailor made to suit the people in front of me in accordance with their learning styles and objectives. Above all I hope to provide a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment... and always deliver with a smile! :)

Ethiopian coffee is amongst the best in the world. Little cafes are everywhere and fresh grass is laid every morning to welcome customers. ☕️

Smoking volcanoes 🌋 are not unusual in Ethiopia with much of the Afar region in the Danakil Depression is covered in molten lava from the earth’s moving crust. What a privilege to be able to walk on the magnificent Erta Ale which means “smoking mountain”. It is continuously active and is a wonder and spiritual haven for all who visit her. 🙏 🇪🇹

Rêvasser - To daydream ! There’s a song by Axelle Red called « Mon Café / The Coffee song » and I learnt this word from it. I love the way it sounds and you can link it to the word « Rêver » which means to dream or une rêve, a dream. Either way we all love to daydream now and then! Rêvasse away this Monday! 💭😴😶‍🌫️

A phrase for Friday! This is a very common way of communicating that you are astonished about something. Often translated as « I can’t get over it, I can’t believe it, I’m astonished/shocked ». Note that in French it is more likely than not to leave off the « ne » part of the sentence when speaking!! Bon weekend! :)

A new word to start the week! I love this zany French word ‘Farfelu.e’ as although it’s very different from the English version, ‘eccentric, flamboyant, out-there’, it sounds vibrant and colourful which is pretty much what it means. It describes a person who is well, just a bit mad, as we all should be!
