EPSO has just confirmed AD5 testing dates for the 3 reasoning tests will be from 09 to 13/11. On 19/10, candidates will receive an email and should check the TAO platform from 20/10 until 06/11 to see THEIR testing date and do the technical check.

EPSO Updates | September 2026

With several testing sessions approaching and important dates announced, here are the latest updates for candidates:

- AD7 Audit – Testing session
The AD7 Audit testing session is scheduled for 30 September 2026.

The testing will take place in one day. If you are taking the tests, these are the final days to practise and prepare.

We wish all candidates every success in the upcoming tests.

- AD5 Graduate administrators – Testing dates & supporting documents

The AD5 reasoning tests are expected to take place in November 2026.

Remember: your reasoning test score can make all the difference, so make sure you are well prepared.

📅 Deadline to submit supporting documents: 7 October 2026

EPSO also reminds candidates to make sure they can access their Single Candidate Portal account and log in to view all necessary information.

📩 Candidates will receive their invitation letter approximately 3 weeks before the first testing session, followed by a technical check and the assignment of their testing slot one week later.

- EU Careers – New website

A new EU Careers website has been launched today!

The new website makes it easier to find and explore opportunities to work for the European Union in one place.

It brings together jobs, traineeships and EPSO selection procedures, with improved search and navigation and more information about working in the EU institutions.

The current EPSO website will continue to provide information on open competitions and contract staff selection procedures.

The key to succeeding in the 3 reasoning tests? Start preparing as early as possible.
In EU recruitment — including EU Open Competitions and CAST — you generally ‘just’ need to reach the minimum required score in the three reasoning tests for your remaining tests to be scored or to continue in the selection process.
“Just” sounds easy.
But candidates’ experience shows that it can be trickier than it sounds.
With reasoning tests, there are two main challenges:
🔹 Understanding the tests and practising enough questions to develop the right methods and automatisms.
🔹 Training under competition conditions, so you can perform under time pressure and with the actual test interface.
Both steps are crucial if you want to progress steadily and avoid frustration.
If you start by training under competition conditions, you may feel discouraged by your results.
But if you only study from books and courses, you may not be fully prepared for the clock, pressure and interface on test day.
AD5 candidates: tests are confirmed in November. Don’t wait for your test invitation to start preparing. It will probably be too late at this stage.
Start preparing now — and give yourself the time to build your skills, confidence and speed.
