🏆 Meet the 2026 Susan Strange Prize winners!
Each year, ESPOL and its research laboratory, ESPOL-Lab, celebrate outstanding research projects by ESPOL students at both undergraduate and Master's level. 📚
This year, we are delighted to congratulate María Muñoz García and Juliette Seguin, who recently completed their Master's and Bachelor's degrees at ESPOL respectively. 👏
María Muñoz García's research, “Drivers of Family Policy Change in Europe: Social Demand, Partisanship, and Economic Capacity in France and Spain”, examines the factors shaping family policies in France and Spain between 1990 and 2024, with a focus on childcare provision and paid paternity leave.
In “Governing without naming: The colonial past in international environmental law (1972–2015)”, Juliette Seguin explores how the colonial past is addressed, or left unaddressed, in international environmental law.

Congratulations to María and Juliette on this well-deserved recognition!
