CELTA, the worldwide ELT teaching Certficate in TEFL : We can now offer a choice of sites in France where you can take your CELTA in a variety of formats. If you're confident you can pass your CELTA with the classic 4-week intensive course, then check out our city sites in Strasbourg and Lyon. If you'd rather take that bit longer and enjoy a beautiful, rural setting, then why not do the five-week

course at our Brittany site by the sea? DELTA, the worldwide ELT Diploma-level qualification : We provide all three DELTA modules and our DELTA Module Two programme is particularly suited to teachers with busy schedules. Our success rate is way above the national average; check out our results page on and our DELTA course details. Language Services - If you're looking for something a bit different, whether it be an in-service training programme for your language teachers, or help with preparing for a qualification in English such as IELTS, then do have a look at our new site, ELT Language Services. We have been helping teachers develop their knowledge and skills for several years now and we think that with our depth and reach we can probably help you whatever your particular need.

Whenever we advertise TYLEC, we always get questions from practising teachers: is it worth it for someone who already has experience teaching YL? The answer (according to our graduates) is a resounding yes.
Here are some reasons why:
🍏 Just like on CELTA, you get to teach and get feedback from colleagues and tutors. Being in the classroom can get lonely - this stops you from stewing in your own juice.
🍏 You get lots of practical ideas, which you can implement straight away
🍏You deepen your understanding of how children learn languages at different ages
🍏 You meet likeminded colleagues, share ideas and materials and form a network
Many teachers have told us they wish they'd taken TYLEC earlier—not because they needed a qualification, but because it renewed their enthusiasm for teaching YL and really helped them expand their toolkit.
Will you be in our next cohort, starting part-time in September?

Don't miss the TBL workshop with Neil McCutcheon next Thursday, June 18th.

Many of you will have had Neil McCutcheon as your CELTA trainer, and we are so happy to have him back with a workshop on Task-Based Learning.
"Too often, lessons are “upside down”: accuracy dominates before learners have the chance to use language meaningfully. This session argues for a fluency-led alternative, linking usage-based SLA research with classroom practice in TBLT, Dogme and emergent language. Teachers will leave with strategies, tasks and tweaks to put communication back on top—where it belongs."
Join us next Thursday at 18.00. The "tickets" are a symbolic 7 euros, link in the comments.

Congratulations to our ONLINE CELTA graduates, who got their provisional certificates last week.
As an observation task onour final day, the teachers had to create images of what teaching is for them. These pictures hit the nail on the head - a coach, supporting their team... a conductor, conducting an orchestra, making sure each student's voice is heard... riding the wave DOGME-style, reacting to what the students throw at them and turning it into teaching opportunities... What analogies would you add?
