Teachers’ roles have changed considerably in the last 10 years both due to new methods and curricula as well as the rise of technology and digitalisation in the classroom. But none of these factors have had a comparable impact to the Corona pandemic. Since the announcement of the first lockdown in spring, teachers as well as parents (and of course students) had to face numerous obstacles and learn to cope in an ever-changing situation. Now that we are facing „the second wave“ and again a greater use of distance learning, it is more important than ever to examine the role of the teacher.
