It’s a wrap for HEC Seed Pitch Competition!

Congratulations to our winner Smarto (getsmarto.com) and well done to Lakaa, Umiami, Goodvest et Vocation for having made it to the final!

A huge thanks to our sponsor the IDEA Center at HEC Paris! Thanks to their 3000€ prize, Gaspard Boscher et Arthaud Mesnard, students of the MSc X-HEC DeepTech Entrepreneurship & co-founders of Smarto will use the prize money to fulfill regulatory obligations to become a broker and start the activity in January. They will be pitching at the Blue Ocean Awards, international award dedicated to the market creation and launched by HEC Paris and the French Ministry for the economy.

HEC Seed team regrets to announce the postponement of our event, which we initially believed we could maintain on October 16th, 2020.

Indeed, these past few weeks, an upsurge in the number of Covid-19 cases in France resulted in a significant tightening of the sanitary measures. The recent governmental measures regarding the obligation of wearings masks in public indoor spaces or the limitation of gatherings compromise the smooth running of our event to this day.

Therefore, after having discussed with the direction of HEC Paris and Station F, and conscious about safeguarding public health and minimising the potential of a COVID cluster, we have decided that HEC Seed summit will not take place on October 16th.

Above all, we wish to offer you an event of high quality, which lives up to our ambitions. HEC Seed's mission is to federate energies around interventions, demonstrations of innovations, and exchanges between participants and students. In this regard, the online format doesn’t seem suitable as it wouldn’t ensure our foreign guests’ attendance or products demonstrations. As a result, the postponement of the 2020 edition to a later date seems necessary and preferable.

The date of the 2021 edition of the HEC Seed summit will be announced at a later stage. We hope that this decision will not affect your presence next year and we look forward to seeing you all the more motivated for our future edition!
