Learn the art of real landscape photography by treating yourself to a photography holiday based at La Grande Maison. We are situated in the middle of the Monts d’Arrée National Park in Finistère, and are in an area which is perfect to learn more about landscape photography.
If you love photography and wish to improve your skills, or just want to learn more about how to use your digital camera, then spend 2 days with me, Andrew Coulter. I am a professional photographer with over 10 years experience, and have won many Landscape photography awards. I have also shot over 300 weddings and my work has been featured in numerous magazines, websites & books. Visit my photography website here http://acoulter-photography.co.uk
The courses are based at La Grande Maison in Huelgoat, and out on location in the the local area. The details of where we will be photographing are detailed on the website, but these will be tailored to each individual group depending upon experience, time of year and the weather.
What to bring-
Bring along your digital camera & lenses (and manual!), charger, plenty of memory cards, filters and tripod. (For landscape photography a tripod is a necessary piece of equipment- please feel free to ask if you need any help on this matter)
What will I learn?
The first thing is to learn how to see as your camera sees, and the difference between how your eyes work and how a camera captures a photograph. How to see the potential in the world around you and how to turn this into stunning photographs.
Depending upon the group’s experience we will cover how a camera works; ranging from simple things such as getting away from the auto modes to the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, iso, and focal length of lenses. We will also cover the camera’s latitude, and how to maximise it to create an image with a full range of tones ready to print. We will be using filters to control the light, and enable you to read the histogram on your camera properly.
Here is an example of the sort of photographs you’ll be able to take by the end of this course
