☕💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning at Akaal Primary💚☕

Today, Akaal Primary came together for a wonderful Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning! Our students brought in delicious cookies to enjoy at break time, and we all had an amazing time coming together for such a meaningful cause.

We are absolutely delighted to have raised an incredible £156.83 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🎉👏

A huge thank you to all our students, families and staff for their kind donations and support. Your generosity really does make a difference. 💚

Year 6 had a fantastic day at theNational Memorial Arboretum yesterday as part of our learning about World War Two. 🌿

The children took part in the WW2 Explorer activities, deepening their understanding of remembrance, sacrifice and the experiences of people during the war. They listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions and represented Akaal Primary School brilliantly throughout the day.

It was lovely to see the children engaging so respectfully with such an important part of history and making connections with the learning we have been doing in class.

A memorable and meaningful day for Year 6! 💛

This week in school, we are reflecting on the virtue of Kindness. Pupils are learning to care deeply for others and all of God’s creation, to show love and compassion, and to respond with kindness even in challenging moments.

This week, pupils are learning about respectful relationships, recognising the importance of healthy connections and understanding safe and unsafe behaviours. These vital lessons form part of our safeguarding and wellbeing focus as we begin the new academic year.
