Mathematics is the most revolutionary expression of the human mind. Non-Euclidean Geometry was born when mathematicians decided to do away with the parallel postulate. Set theory was turned upside down when Cantor decided to explore beyond our notions of infinity. Children create new mathematics everyday when the canonical methods don’t make sense to them.
We should embrace mathematics as a creative expression of the human mind and not as a set of established rules. Mathematics is not the rules, is the chaos you go through to arrive at those rules.
