Back to last week and the next stage of our Scottish sea stacks adventure!
A late finish in Stoer was followed by a late drive to the beautiful bay of Sheigra. A late welcome to our world camp, meant a lazy morning and the rain arrived soon after puking on to the fantastic Gneiss sea cliffs near the bay.
We sheltered with friends for the afternoon before an early start to our Am Buachaille. It was an optimistic walk for a potential window, but the closet we got the the end of the headland through the marsh and sideways rain the clearer everything was. Today was not the day to attempt this serious stack!
So over to Sandwood bay we went. To have"the most beautiful beach in the UK" to yourselves is something to be savoured so we enjoyed the traverse of the beach to a beautiful cliff of Gneiss. The weather continued to improve and this was a really special place to enjoy a few routes. Then just the walk back out to complete a great day.
