I try to keep my classes honest. I have been to many yoga classes that seem somehow scripted, like the teacher wants to have something to say and so spent the afternoon googling spirituality. I hold my spirituality within me, if you have a question to ask I will always make time to answer and if I don't know the answer, I'll tell you that too. I practiced Iyengar, Ashtanga, Jivamukti and then trai

ned as a gait therapist, my practice is a fusion of all these elements of me. I play music in class and try to make things as fun as possible. I have no fixed ideas on what yoga is or should be. I really, truly believe in the transformative power of yoga. To say 'yoga saved my life' sounds like such a cliche, but once the yoga bug bites it tends to take people on the most incredible journey, and that has certainly been my experience. Above all, I try to be welcoming and create a sense of community in every class. Teaching in London is hard, it requires a lot of time and a huge amount of energy...as much as I can when I enter the class, I leave all that at the door and instead of feeling tired after class, I more often feel energised by the effort and hard work of everyone that took part. A yoga class is a sacred space, I feel completely honoured that people allow themselves to be guided by me. I learn daily from the feedback and comments students give me, I am guided by what they need and ask for.
