This is just in case anyone doesn't know, but Stuart Macdonald (Director of Avalanche Academy) is going to row the Atlantic, solo, from Portugal to French Guyana next year. He will be raising money for two fantastic charities on the way. A shocking video from Chamonix today of an avalanche that came onto the piste and buried several people. Apparently all were dug out alive and well.

With all the fresh snow this week the avalanche risk in increasing again. Thursday the wind speeds will be very high, causing extensive wind slab. Do you want to better understand what’s going on ? Can you identify signs of higher risks ? Would you really be able to rescue a buried friend ?
