…Hallelujah!!

What a 24-36 (I have lost count) hours!

Repatriation flight organised and details received on Thursday afternoon. A Sri Lankan breakfast with a Sri Lankan client / friend on Friday morning, dinner with a friend of mine en route to the airport on Friday evening and bam, here we are, back in Europe. Making a quick stop in London, en route to Barcelona to collect the car, to drive home and sleep in my own bed tonight! Keeping everything crossed my car starts and it hasn’t been towed away.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone next week.

No big updates but an update all the same.

Yesterday we moved to our 8th accommodation of the trip 😅 and Qatar airways have said that we will be out on the next flight home, they just didn’t say when that would be. I am waiting for a message today 🤞

The night before last, we visited the Lotus Tower, which is the tallest building in South Asia, the 19th in the world. At the top there is a beautiful restaurant where we ate dinner. The last appartment had a view of this tower from our window.

The view from the window at our latest appartment is over a cricket pitch. Some of my students might remember me talking about cricket and trying to explain the rules. I know that some of you could not understand how a game could last so long. Well the match I can see now, is day one of a 3 day match!!😆

A dream holiday that has taken a twist.

We traveled during the holiday to Sri Lanka, which is a beautiful country. Unfortunately, however, our flights home have been cancelled because they went via Doha and there are currently no flights home before the end of the month 😫

We visited the Qatar airways office in Colombo this morning and they are trying to organise direct flights back to Europe in the next few days but nothing is certain.

The good news is, we are safe and healthy, albeit a little stressed.

I will keep you up to date here.

LA RENTRÉE 2023/24

Bonjour à tous, j'espère que vous avez passé de merveilleuses vacances d'été et que vous êtes bien reposés. Chez Piper, nous avons eu un été très excitant -nous voici avant avoir escaladé le Sugar Loaf Mountain à Rio De Janeiro.

Hello everyone, I hope you have had a wonderful summer holiday and are well rested. In the Piper house, we have had a very eventful summer- here we are before climbing Sugar Loaf Mountain in Rio De Janeiro.

🚛 We’re on the Move!! 🚛

Juste pour vous informer, pour la rentrée, j'aurai une nouvelle salle de classe !

👷‍♂️Pendant l'été, nous nous occuperons de transformer l'ancien laboratoire (6 Quai du Port) en une nouvelle salle de classe élégante avec vue sur le Canal ! 🛶 😍

Pour l'instant, les cours actuels et le stage d'été resteront au 34 place de Verdun.

I hope I have contacted everyone but, just in case,

*there are no English lessons this week*

I broke a rib and punctured a lung on the weekend and have spent 2 nights in hospital 🤕

On a lighter note, here are also some photos of the Halloween week.

J'ai cassé une côte et perforé un poumon le week-end dernier et j'ai passé deux nuits à l'hôpital 🤕
