🎓 C’est la rentrée à Vatel Bordeaux !

Cette semaine, nous étions ravis de retrouver nos étudiants et d’accueillir notre nouvelle promotion de 1ères années de Bachelor, en cursus initial et en apprentissage ! ✨

Au programme de leur rentrée : découverte des différents départements de l’école, visite de Bordeaux, conseils pour leur CV et leur profil LinkedIn, posture à adopter en entreprise, découverte de l’art du service en restauration… sans oublier le Vatel Quest ! 🤝

Nos 2èmes années ont également fait leur rentrée avec des retrouvailles placées sous le signe du team building à la Quiz Room. 🧠

Et nos 3èmes années de Bachelor en apprentissage ont, quant à eux, retrouvé les bancs de l’école dès leur retour !

Une nouvelle année commence, et nous sommes heureux de vous retrouver. 💙

🎓 It’s back-to-school time at Vatel Bordeaux!

This week, we were thrilled to reunite with our students and welcome our new class of first-year Bachelor’s students, both in the traditional program and the apprenticeship track! ✨

On the agenda for their first week back: exploring the school’s various departments, touring Bordeaux, getting tips on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, learning how to conduct themselves in a professional setting, discovering the art of hospitality in the restaurant industry… not to mention the Vatel Quest! 🤝

Our second-year students also kicked off the new semester with a team-building reunion at the Quiz Room. 🧠

And our third-year Bachelor’s students in the apprenticeship program were right back in the classroom as soon as they returned!

A new year is beginning, and we’re happy to see you all again. 💙

🇬🇷 De Vatel Bordeaux… à Athènes ! ✈️

Cette année, Dimitrios, notre étudiant grec avait rejoint le département Recrutement & Admissions pour sa pratique professionnelle en entreprise. Il a eu l’opportunité de revenir en Grèce, son pays d’origine, aux côtés de Bianca, notre chargée du recrutement international, à l’occasion de plusieurs salons pour les étudiants à Athènes.

Il a sorti sa caméra pour vous embarquer avec lui alors foncez découvrir un aperçu de son voyage, des salons et des coulisses de cette expérience internationale ! 🎥

🇬🇷 From Vatel Bordeaux… to Athens! ✈️

This year, Dimitrios, our Greek student, joined the Recruitment & Admissions department for his professional internship. He had the opportunity to return to Greece, his home country, alongside Bianca, our international recruitment coordinator, for student fairs in Athens.

[Apprentissage]

À l'occasion de leur Baptême de promotion, nous avons donné la parole à nos étudiants en Bachelor en apprentissage. 🎓

Après trois années en apprentissage, ils reviennent sur leur parcours, partagent les expériences qui les ont marqués et expliquent ce que leur formation à Vatel Bordeaux leur a apporté, tant sur le plan personnel que professionnel.

Parce que l'alternance est bien plus qu'un rythme d'études : elle permet de développer des compétences concrètes, d'acquérir une véritable expérience du terrain et de construire un profil recherché par les recruteurs dès l'obtention du diplôme. 🚀

[Apprenticeship]

To mark their graduation ceremony, we sat down with our Bachelor’s degree students in the apprenticeship program. 🎓

After 3 years in the apprenticeship program, they look back on their journey, share the experiences that left a lasting impression on them, and explain what their education at Vatel Bordeaux has given them, both personally and professionally.

Because the work-study program is much more than just a way of studying: it allows students to develop practical skills, gain real-world experience, and build a profile that recruiters seek out as soon as they graduate. 🚀

🎙️ As part of their Self-Image course, our first-year Bachelor’s degree students in the apprenticeship program conceived, recorded, and produced their podcast dedicated to careers in the hospitality industry (Cafés, Hotels, Restaurants)!

| Stage

Originaire de Vatel Huangshan, Ruihan Wang est venu étudier à Vatel Bordeaux pendant sa 2ème année de Bachelor grâce au programme Marco Polo. 🌏

Il est actuellement en stage dans le restaurant du nouvel hôtel Hampton by Hilton Bordeaux-Mérignac qui a ouvert ses portes récemment. Ruihan nous partage son ressenti et ses missions, et évoque également ce qu'il préfère dans son stage. 🍽️

📢 « J'adore le fait qu'on ait la chance de faire un stage dans un vrai restaurant, dans un vrai hôtel. Ça me permet d'acquérir une expérience concrète et de découvrir comment gérer les clients, surtout s'ils rencontrent des problèmes. »

Originally from Vatel Huangshan, Ruihan Wang came to study at Vatel Bordeaux during his 2nd year of his Bachelor’s degree through the Marco Polo program. 🌏

He is currently interning at the Antipasto restaurant in the new Hampton by Hilton Bordeaux-Mérignac hotel, which recently opened its doors. Ruihan shares his thoughts and responsibilities with us, and also talks about what he likes best about his internship. 🍽️

📢 'I love that we have the chance to do internship in the real restaurant, in the real hotel. I can have the physical experience and I can feel how to deal with the guest, maybe they have some problems.'
