What an incredible day at 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘅 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹! Our annual 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 was filled with energy, determination, laughter, and plenty of team spirit.

From exciting races and challenging activities to enthusiastic cheering from the sidelines, our students gave their very best and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, and 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 coming together to create such a positive and memorable atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make the event such a success.

Quelle journée incroyable à 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘅 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 !𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲́𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 fut débordante d'énergie, de détermination, de rires et d'un formidable esprit d'équipe.

Entre courses palpitantes, activités stimulantes et encouragements enthousiastes des supporters, nos élèves ont donné le meilleur d'eux-mêmes et ont fait preuve d'un esprit sportif exemplaire tout au long de la journée. C'était formidable de voir 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘁 𝗲́𝗹𝗲̀𝘃𝗲𝘀 réunis pour créer une ambiance aussi positive et mémorable.

Un immense merci à tous ceux qui ont participé, apporté leur soutien et contribué au succès de cet événement.

We recently celebrated 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, and what a wonderful evening it was 💫

It was a special opportunity to reflect on the journey these students have taken, the friendships they have built, and the achievements they have accomplished during their time at Bordeaux International School.

As they now embark on exciting new adventures, heading to some of the world's leading universities and destinations across the globe, we know they will continue to make us proud. Their talent, determination, and kindness will undoubtedly lead them to great success 🚀
While we will miss seeing this class in our corridors each day, we are keen to watch their futures unfold. On behalf of the entire Bordeaux International School community, we wish them all happiness, success, and unforgettable experiences in the years ahead.

Nous avons récemment célébré la 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼̂𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗲́𝗹𝗲̀𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗱''𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹, et ce fut une soirée merveilleuse 💫

Ce fut une occasion privilégiée de revenir sur le parcours de ces élèves, les amitiés qu'ils ont tissées et les réussites qu'ils ont accomplies durant leur scolarité à Bordeaux International School.

Alors qu'ils s'apprêtent à vivre de nouvelles aventures passionnantes, en rejoignant certaines des plus grandes universités et destinations du monde, nous savons qu'ils continueront de nous rendre fiers. Leur talent, leur détermination et leur bienveillance les mèneront sans aucun doute vers un brillant avenir 🚀

Nous regretterons de ne plus voir cette classe dans nos couloirs chaque jour, mais nous avons hâte de suivre leur parcours. Au nom de toute la communauté de Bordeaux International School, nous leur souhaitons bonheur, réussite et des expériences inoubliables pour les années à venir.

Our latest 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 was a fantastic triumph and a wonderful celebration of curiosity, creativity, and scientific discovery! 🧑‍🔬

Throughout the event, pupils confidently presented and carried out live experiments in front of their classmates, teachers, and parents. From chemistry and physics to biology and engineering, the projects covered a wide range of scientific fields and showcased the enthusiasm, knowledge, and hard work of our young scientists 🔬
It was inspiring to see our pupils explaining their ideas, demonstrating their experiments, and answering questions with such confidence and passion.
A huge congratulations to all of the children who participated 👏

Notre dernier 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 a été un immense succès et une magnifique célébration de la curiosité, de la créativité et de la découverte scientifique ! 🧑‍🔬

Tout au long de l’événement, les élèves ont présenté et réalisé en direct des expériences devant leurs camarades, leurs enseignants et leurs parents. De la chimie à la physique, en passant par la biologie et l’ingénierie, les projets ont couvert un large éventail de domaines scientifiques et ont mis en valeur l’enthousiasme, les connaissances et le travail remarquable de nos jeunes scientifiques 🔬

Il a été inspirant de voir les élèves expliquer leurs idées, réaliser leurs expériences et répondre aux questions avec autant de confiance et de passion.
Un immense bravo à tous les enfants qui ont participé 👏

In Primary, we welcomed the charity Enfants du Mékong, which helps poor and vulnerable children in Asia by offering them a future through education.

We were able to follow the stories of children who, sponsored by the charity, were able to go to school and build a better future than the one they would otherwise have been condemned to.

We learnt a great deal and appreciated how lucky we are to have access to education for our own futures.

En Primaire, nous avons reçu l'association Enfants du Mékong, qui vient en aide aux enfants d'Asie pauvres et souffrants en leur offrant un avenir grâce à l’instruction.

Nous avons pu suivre le parcours d'enfants qui, parrainés par l'association, ont pu aller à l'école afin d'avoir un avenir meilleur que celui auquel ils étaient condamnés par leur condition.

Nous avons beaucoup appris et apprécié la chance que nous avons d'avoir accès à l'école pour notre avenir.

We were delighted to be welcomed by the Police Nationale this week for our Year 5 & 6 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 🛣️🛑

As part of our Personal, Social and Global Skills curriculum, pupils develop a wide range of important skills and knowledge through real-life learning experiences and themes.
👍 We were once again especially proud to hear such positive feedback about our pupils, who were praised for being attentive, engaged, and respectful throughout the visit.

Nous avons été ravis d'être accueillis cette semaine par la Police Nationale pour notre 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮̀ 𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗲́𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲́ 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲̀𝗿𝗲 destinée aux élèves de CM1 et CM2 🛣️🛑

Dans le cadre de notre programme de compétences personnelles, sociales et mondiales, les élèves développent un large éventail de compétences et de connaissances importantes grâce à des expériences et des thèmes d'apprentissage ancrés dans la réalité.
👍 Nous étions une fois de plus particulièrement fiers d'entendre des commentaires aussi positifs sur nos élèves, qui ont été félicités pour leur attention, leur implication et leur respect tout au long de la visite.

We are excited to share the international paths our students are planning this year as they embark on new chapters across the globe!

From innovative engineering to creative design and international diplomacy, our community is making its mark worldwide. Here's a glimpse of where they are headed and what they are aiming to study:

🇫🇷 France: Students will be diving into Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, and Operational Management studies.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom: Pursuing careers in Teaching.

🇩🇰 Denmark: Engaging with global politics in International Relations.

🇺🇸 USA: Focusing on Business Management.

🇨🇦 Canada: Specialising in the future of Digital Design.

🇦🇺 🇫🇮 Global Reach: Our students are also heading to Finland and Australia to continue their journeys!

We are proud of the diversity of talent and the ambitious goals our students are pursuing!

𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! ✋

Through engaging experiments and investigations, Lower Middle School and Upper Middle School students explored important scientific concepts by observing, testing, collecting data and analysing their results.

➡️ In the final chapter of the “Classifying Matter” unit, LMS students learned the difference between a vacuum and air resistance. To test the effect of air resistance, they carried out an experiment comparing the falling speed of a cone-shaped piece of paper with that of a flat sheet of paper. After the investigation, they organised their results in a table and analysed them.

Building on these scientific explorations, UMS students studied natural selection through the “Battle of the Beaks” activity. They carried out an experiment to model how different types of beaks are favoured depending on the type of food available. Each student used a different tool to represent a type of beak and tested its ability to pick up various foods. They then collected and analysed their results, helping them understand how different species survive in different environments and how they are influenced by the availability of food sources.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 ! ✋

À travers des expériences et des investigations engageantes, les élèves de LMS et de UMS ont exploré des concepts scientifiques importants en observant, testant, collectant des données et en analysant leurs résultats.

➡️ Dans le dernier chapitre de l’unité "Classifying Matter", les élèves de LMS ont appris la différence entre le vide et la résistance de l’air. Pour tester l’effet de la résistance de l’air, ils ont réalisé une expérience afin de comparer la vitesse de chute d’un papier en forme de cône par rapport à un papier plat. Après l’investigation, ils ont organisé leurs résultats dans un tableau et les ont analysés. 📊🍃

Dans la continuité de ces explorations scientifiques, les élèves de UMS ont étudié la sélection naturelle à travers l’activité "Battle of the Beaks". Ils ont réalisé une expérience pour modéliser comment différents types de becs sont favorisés selon les types de nourriture. Chaque élève utilisait un outil différent pour représenter un type de bec et a testé sa capacité à attraper différents aliments. Ils ont ensuite collecté et analysé leurs résultats, ce qui leur a permis de comprendre comment différentes espèces survivent dans différents environnements et comment elles sont influencées par les types de nourriture disponibles.

After a year spent exploring various scientific concepts, our Lower Middle School and Upper Middle School students transitioned from theory to practice by planning, preparing, and executing their own original projects 🚀

👉 On April 28th, we held our annual 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿, where students presented their work to a jury of teachers and other students. It was inspiring to see their ideas come to life 💡

We are incredibly proud of the hard work that our middle schoolers displayed 😊

Après une année passée à explorer divers concepts scientifiques, les élèves de Lower Middle School et Upper Middle School sont passés de la théorie à la pratique en planifiant, préparant et réalisant leurs propres projets originaux 🚀

👉 Le 28 avril, nous avons tenu notre salon annuel des 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠, au cours duquel les élèves ont présenté leurs travaux devant un jury composé d'enseignants et d'autres élèves. Ce fut un moment inspirant de voir leurs idées prendre vie 💡

Nous sommes incroyablement fiers du travail acharné dont nos élèves ont fait preuve 😊
