I’m teaching people to become the authority of their own body by sorting out facts from distorted societal myths about health, weight, identity and diet culture.

STOP.

Only 0.3–1% of the population is clinically underweight.

Yet so many people with eating disorders use being underweight as the benchmark for whether they deserve help, support, or recovery.

Your eating disorder doesn’t care what your BMI is.

It will convince you that you need to lose more weight.
It will convince you that you’re not struggling enough.
It will convince you that recovery can wait.

And when you finally reach the goal you’ve been chasing?

The goalpost moves.

Again.

And again.

And again.

The thought “I’m not sick enough” is not proof that you’re okay.

It’s often one of the clearest signs that an eating disorder is present.

You do not have to become part of the 0.3–1% to deserve recovery.

If you’re struggling, you’re already sick enough.

I want you to know that not being underweight does not mean you’re not sick enough. Recovery is not reserved for a certain weight, BMI, or appearance. You deserve help, support, and healing exactly where you are.

This is something I talk about in depth inside my DVK Recovery Method Guide. I teach you how to recover effectively no matter where your weight naturally lands, how to navigate weight gain, extreme hunger, body image struggles, and the constant feeling of being “not sick enough.”

Because recovery can feel incredibly lonely, the guide also comes with FREE 🔓 access to our supportive WhatsApp recovery community, where you’ll connect with people who truly understand what you’re going through and who are committed to full recovery too.

You do not have to wait until things get worse before you start healing.

If missing a workout or not hitting 10,000 steps makes you panic, this is not discipline, but this IS an active eating disorder disguised as health.

And I think a lot more people need to hear that.

Because society will applaud compulsive movement as long as it looks ‘healthy.’ It’s so concerning.

Nobody gets concerned when you:
walk excessively after eating,
feel guilty resting,
panic over your step count,
compensate for food with exercise,
or cannot fully relax unless you’ve burned calories first.

People call it discipline.
Self-control.
Motivation.
A wellness lifestyle.
Self optimization.

Optimization culture is out of hand anyway, but that’s another story for another day. 🤨

If movement controls your mood, food intake, self-worth, or ability to rest… that is not freedom, babes.

You cannot fully recover while still being terrified of rest.
You cannot nutritionally rehabilitate a body while compulsively trying to burn everything off.

A healthy relationship with movement means you can miss a workout, not hit your steps, eat normally anyway, and still feel okay.

A lot of people are stuck in active eating disorders that are being praised because they fit wellness culture. And it sucks.

One of the biggest recovery milestones is learning to nourish yourself when nobody is watching.

I know what it’s like to look “fine” around others whilst secretly still restricting in private.
That’s what quasi-recovery looked like for me.

But real healing started when I learned to care for myself even when I was alone.

A LOT of ‘recovery content’ online is still completely obsessed with:
being lean,
being controlled,
eating perfectly,
looking fit,
avoiding weight gain,
and staying socially acceptable.

The eating disorder never actually left.

It just became more aesthetic.

Now it hides behind words like:
‘wellness,’
‘balance,’
‘healthy lifestyle,’
‘strong not skinny,’
or ‘food freedom’ while the person is still terrified of their body changing.

And people praise it because it looks healthier than being visibly sick.

But recovery was never supposed to be:
how do I heal without gaining weight?
how do I recover while staying attractive?
how do I eat more without losing control?

That’s still the eating disorder talking.

Real recovery means your self-worth is no longer dependent on staying small.

Real recovery means your body changing doesn’t feel like a personal failure.

Real recovery means food is no longer the center of your life.

Some people don’t want full recovery.
They want to keep the body,
keep the control,
keep the validation,
and just suffer less mentally.

But that’s not freedom.

That’s just a more socially accepted eating disorder.

You can be weight restored and STILL not be nutritionally rehabilitated.

This is one of the biggest misunderstandings in eating disorder recovery.

People gain weight and then panic when they’re still:

* extremely hungry
* obsessed with food
* binge eating
* emotionally dysregulated
* exhausted
* thinking about food all day

And then they think:
“What is wrong with me?”

But often your body is simply still trying to pay off years of energy debt caused by restriction, purging, over-exercise, under-eating, stress, and survival mode.

Weight restoration and nutritional rehabilitation are NOT the same thing.

And I also don’t love the term “weight restored.”

Restored to what exactly?

Most people with eating disorders do not even know what their natural healthy baseline body is because their body has been interrupted for years.

Some people also need to overshoot temporarily in order to:

* restore hormones
* regulate metabolism
* repair organs
* calm the nervous system
* finally feel biologically safe again

Your body does not care about BMI charts.

Your body cares whether you are safe.

And often your body heals faster than your brain does.

So externally you may no longer “look sick,” while internally your nervous system is still terrified around food and hyper-fixated on eating.

That does NOT mean you are broken.

Diary of a CEO host Steven Bartlett recently spoke about how alcohol affects his productivity and health and it sparked backlash because optimization culture is becoming exhausting.

Everything now has to be optimized. Food. Sleep. Hormones. Productivity. Longevity. Steps. Morning routines. Supplements. Alcohol. Sugar. Rest.

At some point, being human started feeling like a full-time performance review.

And this mindset can become especially dangerous for people with eating disorder, because the obsession with optimizing food, health, routines, and the body is often exactly what keeps the disorder alive.

A lot of disordered behavior today hides behind words like “wellness,” “discipline,” and “self-improvement.” Which is why so many people don’t even realize they’re struggling anymore.

If every dinner out becomes something to calculate, compensate for, or feel guilty about… something has gone wrong.

People are tired. Tired of monitoring themselves constantly. Tired of feeling like enjoyment has to be earned. Tired of turning life into a project instead of actually living it.

9/10 the healthiest thing you can do is eat the pasta, drink the wine, have the chocolate, laugh with your friends, and move on with your life.

There was a time where knowing I was eating fries later would’ve ruined my whole day. I would’ve restricted, planned around it, stressed about it, and tried to “deserve” them before I even ate them.

Now I just get annoyed when the fries are undercooked under salted.

And honestly, that’s recovery. 😂
How do you like your fries? 🍟 I like mine CRISPY and SALTY 🧂🔥 with a s**t ton of mayo and ketchup.

There used to be a time this pain au chocolat would ruin my entire day.

Not because I didn’t want recovery badly enough.
But because I genuinely didn’t know what to DO next.

Recovery can feel incredibly overwhelming when every meal, urge, body image spiral, or food decision feels huge.

After I recovered, I developed the DVK Recovery Method®, focused on real-life, action-oriented recovery steps.

And eventually, that became AIDanie®:

No calorie tracking.

One of the most dangerous things in eating disorder recovery?

Being told to eat LESS the moment your body gains weight.

As if weight restored automatically means fully recovered.

Meanwhile you might still be:
– extremely hungry
– obsessing over food
– mentally struggling
– feeling completely unsafe around eating

And then professionals call it:
“emotional eating”
“boredom”
“habits”

Which often reinforces EXACTLY what the eating disorder is already telling you.

Your body weight should NEVER determine whether you deserve food.

This topic is exactly why I created AIDanie® 💛

A recovery support tool that responds within seconds, in any language, with the kind of validation and guidance I give my own clients.

24/7 support.
Voice notes.
3 tiers.
And VIP includes the DVK Recovery Method WhatsApp community + guides + extra support.

We already have 50+ users since launch ✨
