Summer Schools in Angers

Iris is our buddy student for the Engineering and sustainability Summer school. She will be guiding students from Lycée Notre Dame De Sion Istanbul around the city and the campus.

Iris is about to finish her Bachelor's degree in International management. She spent the last semester in Portugal and next year, she will be studying in São Paulo and Shangai!

We are so glad to intoduce our 2026 buddy students! Meet Maëline, our buddy for the Research in Medical Neurosciences Summer school.

Maëline is 24 years old, she studies to become a high school teacher of economics. She grew up in an bilingual family and she has experience in hospitality and the promotion of cultural animations. She will be your perfect guide for the week!

You will be given enough day tickets to travel illimited on the bus and tram network during the length of your stay.🚎

The tram stops at every station whereas you will have to waive to the bus driver for them to stop, or press the "stop" button inside the bus before alighting.🚌

Don't forget to validate your ticket everytime you get on a bus or a tram, even when you are connecting! 🎫

The office of the Summer schools in Angers will be at participants' service Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5.00 pm. The staff will be available for questions and support, in-person on the Faculty of Health campus or by phone.

Local students will guide you during your stay. They will es**rt you during social activities and be available throughout the day for assistance. We will introduce them soon... stay tuned!

Each Summer school will close with a convivial ceremony where participants will be handed a diploma and 3 ECTS for their attendance and active participation.

📍Both the Research in Neurosciences and Engineering Summer schools will take place at the Faculty of Health, 28 rue Roger Amsler in Angers. The faculty is situated along tram line A (stop: Capucins) and it's a 30-minute walk to the city centre.

Angers is located in the West of France, approximately 300 km from Paris. The closest airports to the University of Angers are Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris-Orly airport and Nantes airport.

- 3 direct TGV (high speed trains) a day to Angers Saint-Laud train station (travel time: 2.5 hours)
or
- take a suburb train to Montparnasse train station (1.5 hours), then a direct TGV to Angers (1.5 hours, around 13 departures a day)

- Take the metro to Montparnasse train station (30 min), then get a direct train to Angers (1.5 hours).

- Take the airport shuttle to Nantes train station (20 min), then get a direct train to Angers (40 min).

Relax after participating actively in your programme workshops. Coffee, tea and juices are available during coffee breaks.

Don't underestimate their power. A lot of fascinating discussions happen during coffee breaks between attendees and speakers. This is where contacts are made and projects are taking seed.
