The winemaker Paul Jordaan explains that grapes are from a vineyard planted in 1980 on granite bedrock. Located in valley floor next to old river bank, vines are less exposed to early and late afternoon sun. Grapes are whole bunch pressed, followed by spontaneous fermentation & wine remains on lees for 10months in 400 to 500 L oak vats before bottling.
