International Bilingual School of Provence (IBS)

Our 6ème students just got back from an incredible adventure in Ardèche. Paddling down the river in canoes, exploring caves deep underground, testing their aim at archery, flying down trails on their VTTs, and conquering the rock face with some seriously impressive climbing skills every moment was unforgettable.

A huge thank you to all the teachers who made this trip possible. Your dedication, patience, and energy throughout the week meant everything to our students, and this experience would not have happened without you!
Les 6èmes, you should be so proud of yourselves. The Ardèche showed you what you are capable of, and we cannot wait to see what you take on next!

On Friday, we celebrated our Secondary School end-of-year event with a truly unforgettable evening! Dance performances, awards, yearbook distribution, a buffet, and a DJ made it a night to remember. Thank you to all the parents, students, and staff who helped make it such a special celebration.

Yesterday, primary students from IBS of Provence and our local sister schools, , and took part in their Cambridge International exams (Starters, Movers, Flyers).

For many of them, it was their very first official exam, a big milestone and a moment to be proud of. Well done to all our young learners for their hard work, focus, and enthusiasm.

From a simple idea in September 2025, the IBS Book Club brought together students from 3ème to Terminale around one shared passion: reading.

Each month, students met to discuss a new book, share ideas, and discover a wide range of titles: from The Hunger Games to The Martian and Stupeur et Tremblement. With 20 students involved, the club quickly became a space for open discussion, new perspectives, and connection.

We look forward to seeing it grow next year, led by future DP1 students as a CAS project.

On Tuesday, DP1 students showcased their Thought, Knowledge and Action (TOK) exhibition : a key component of their International Baccalaureate journey!

In the morning at La Bastide, the students took part in several interdisciplinary activities led by their subject teachers and TOK teachers: workshops on ethical dilemmas and artistic perspectives, as well as science-based detective games.

The TOK exhibition challenges students to explore real-world situations through the lens of critical thinking, connecting knowledge questions to everyday contexts. It's a powerful opportunity for them to demonstrate how philosophy and inquiry shape their understanding of the world.

Congratulations to our DP1 class for their thoughtful insights, creative approaches, and dedication to this meaningful IB requirement. 🎓💫

🎸 AFTER MARY TÊTE D'AFFICHE À LA FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE D'AIX ! 🎸

Nous sommes très fiers de notre School Band .off, qui se produira sur la scène du Cours Mirabeau à Aix-en-Provence à l'occasion de la Fête de la Musique, le 21 juin !

Cette belle opportunité a été remportée grâce à leur victoire au tremplin face à près de 150 groupes participants. Une récompense méritée pour Axel (1ère), Maxime (Terminale) et Charlie (2nde), dont les compositions 100 % originales en anglais ont su séduire le jury.

Our Pre-IB2 students traded the classroom for the crystal-clear waters of La Sorgue for an unforgettable kayaking end-of-the-school-year experience!

Paddling through one of Provence’s most beautiful natural settings, students enjoyed a day of teamwork, challenge, and discovery while taking in the stunning scenery along the river.

A fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, build confidence, and create lasting memories together.

Well done to all our students for their enthusiasm and adventurous spirit! 💙

Lundi, nos jeunes joueurs d'échecs du Primaire ont participé à un tournoi organisé par Alan Bruce et Nizar El Bejaoui.
Les enfants se sont très bien investis et ont montré de belles qualités de réflexion, de concentration et de fair-play.
Le tournoi s’est terminé dans une ambiance conviviale autour d’un goûter, avec la remise de médailles, récompenses et trophées.
Toutes nos félicitations aux participants ! Nous espérons les retrouver très bientôt autour d’un échiquier et les encourageons à continuer à pratiquer ce magnifique « jeu » qui développe la réflexion, la patience et la confiance en soi.
