You know exactly what you want to say.
You've even rehearsed it in your head.
But the moment someone asks you something in French β your mind goes completely blank.
It's not your level. It's not your vocabulary.
It's the gap between understanding French and actually speaking it.
And it's way more common than you think.
The good news? It's also fixable. π§‘

You understand French. You follow conversations. You even laugh at the right moment.
But the second someone asks you something β blank.
That's exactly who French Corner is for.
It's a small online conversation group β 3 to 6 people max β where you practice speaking French in a safe, relaxed space. No grammar drills. No being put on the spot. No school vibes.
Just real conversations, guided by me, with people at the same level as you.
I take care of all the prep. You just show up and speak.
Summer Edition starts June 18th β 6 sessions on Zoom, Thursdays 12pm or Fridays 10am (Paris time). Registration closes June 12th.

You know that feeling when you're trying your best in Frenchβ¦ and someone says one of these? π€
Ugh. The worst.
Because learning a language takes courage. And the last thing you need is someone making you doubt yourself for even trying.
You're doing something most people never attempt. Remember that.
Now drop the phrase you're tired of hearing in the comments. π
And follow β because learning French should feel good, not like an apology. π§‘

You're not bad at French.
You're just scared.
I hear this all the time:
"I'm terrible at speaking French."
"I just can't do it."
"I'm not good at languages."
But here's what's really happening:
You understand French pretty well.
You know the words.
You've studied.
The problem isn't your French level.
It's the fear.
Fear of making mistakes.
Fear of sounding stupid.
Fear of being judged.
And that fear? It comes from how you learned languages before.
School taught you that mistakes = bad.
Red pen everywhere. Embarrassment in front of the class.
No wonder you're scared now.
But fluency doesn't come from being perfect.
It comes from trying, messing up, and trying again.
Mistakes aren't failures.
They're how you learn.
So next time you freeze up?
Remember: the fear is normal.
But it doesn't have to stop you.
