In order to challenge the new generation of engineers and technicians to solve real world societal challenges, the Institute of Engineering and Technology is organizing a new virtual competition.
The IET Competition is an exciting virtual opportunity for you, if you are aged between 18 and 35, to pitch your 10-minute presentation about how engineering and technology can help to solve a real-world societal challenge to a panel of experts. The candidates have the choice between three topics:
• Sustainability & Climate Change
• Digital Futures
• Healthy Lives
Why should you participate? Not only will the winners receive prize money but this experience will allow you to practice your presentation skills and show potential employers how committed you are to developing them. You will also get to network with other competitors from all around the world.

On April 16th, the Institution of Engineering and Technology ( ) gathers experts in the civil field to discuss culture and competence in the Built Environment on the occasion of a webinar. The speakers will tackle the current issues threatening residents' safety in high-rise/risk buildings from diverse viewpoints, including policy or culture management.

Last Tuesday, for the very first edition of the IET OnCampus Day at Arts et Métiers Paris, we were happy to welcome 3 international companies: Accenture France, Assystem and Eurovia.

It was a great opportunity for the second-year students to work on real-world cases related to the different companies. They did a great job by delivering their solutions in a very short time.

We thank the companies for their collaboration and their precious advice. We also wanted to thank Timothy Lorkin for his presence and his speech about the IET. And of course, we thank Arnaud Jerome, our English teacher, for helping us organizing this event.

We hope that this OnCampus Day will be the first of many!

As we told you this morning, here are the cases attributed to the different ED groups.

Please note that this event is mandatory, so we count on your presence.

Modalities for each ED group :

You have one week to prepare your 5 min pitch, you will choose 3 to 4 representatives who will present your work to the jury at 12 on Tuesday.

Mentors from every company will be there to help you to give the best presentation. And also to discuss their job.

A special prize is waiting for the podium!

So be creative! We'll see you at the Grand Amphi at 8:00 next week.
