The ISS Veivueti Ocean Conference 2026 was officially launched today by the Pacific Ocean Commissioner, bringing together more than 150 students from 13 schools across Fiji for two days of learning, collaboration and action for our Blue Pacific.

In his opening address, he encouraged students to recognise the vital role they play in protecting our oceans and creating a sustainable future for generations to come.

Over the next two days, students will share projects, participate in workshops, engage with ocean experts, and take part in hands-on environmental activities that celebrate and strengthen our connection to the ocean.

A heartfelt Vinaka Vakalevu to Pacific Ocean Commissioner , Pacific-Community-SPC , WWF and for supporting this incredible initiative.

Together, we are inspiring the next generation of ocean guardians.

The Veivueti Ocean Conference begins tomorrow!

The ISS Ocean Conference 2026 will bring together students from 14 schools across Fiji for two inspiring days of learning, collaboration, and action for our Blue Pacific. We are especially proud that this year's conference has been officially endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade.

Students aged 8–16 will engage with ocean experts, showcase their projects, participate in field activities, and explore solutions for a sustainable future. From beach clean-ups and youth dialogue to marine conservation and traditional ocean knowledge, this conference is all about empowering the next generation of ocean guardians.

Another Ocean Passport journey complete. Today our Year 4 & 5 students earned their badges after weeks of learning new skills, building confidence, and embracing adventure in and around the ocean. We couldn’t be prouder.

Last week we were thrilled to host our friends from TLC at ISS for a fantastic round of U9 and U10 netball matches!

The courts were buzzing with energy, but what we loved seeing most wasn't just the goals, it was the incredible teamwork, rapid skill-building, and the massive smiles on everyone's faces. Pure fun from start to finish!

Thank you to TLC for visiting us and making it such a memorable day of sportsmanship. We can’t wait for the next one!

International School Suva is incredibly proud to support the recently formed Fiji Wheelchair Rugby Team by providing a training venue for this historic initiative.

This week marked a significant moment for sport in the Pacific, with Fiji officially launching wheelchair rugby and becoming the first Pacific Island nation to formally establish the sport under the umbrella of the Fiji Rugby Union.

At ISS, we value inclusion, opportunity, and community, and being able to help create pathways for adaptive sport in Fiji aligns closely with our values as an inclusive school. Wheelchair rugby is more than just a sport; it is about resilience, teamwork, courage, belonging, and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive.

We are excited to see this programme continue to grow and inspire people across Fiji, and we are honoured to play a small part in supporting its journey.

We will also share practical ways families can encourage positive reading habits at home and during the holidays.Alongside this, we will discuss how regular reading supports attention span, cognitive flexibility, imagination, and overall mental wellbeing, helping children build confidence both in and beyond the classroom.This session will provide valuable insights into how small daily reading routines can make a lasting impact on your child’s learning journey, while also offering practical strategies to help nurture a lifelong love of reading at home.This PEP Talk is designed for ISS Primary parents and families.

Four-year scholarships are available for students born in 2012, and three-year scholarships are available for students born in 2011.
