The College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences of the Fiji National University is the premier institution that trains health care professionals from the Pacific Islands and beyond. The student experience is a core to health professionals training at the CMNHS. From the time a student enrolls into our programs we wish to give them the best experience with academic support and social activities to ensure their time is academically and socially fulfilling. The Student Life Unit of the CMNHS was established in June 2013 to support the academic and social success for all students at the CMNHS through advisement, leadership development, counseling, student organizations, outreach, and intercultural programming. Campus Life activities, co curricular activities make better health professionals. The Peer Assisted Study Sessions program of the Health Professionals Education Unit at the CMNHS is an example highlighting how students help other students to achieve the best results they can. It is a program that has been recognized as the best of its kind in the world and our students have won international awards in 2013 after the program was introduced at the CMNHS in 2011.
