“Growing in Self-Awareness, Communication, and Healthy Relationships in Ministry”

The Pacific Regional Seminary Workshop on “Growing in Self-Awareness, Communication, and Healthy Relationships in Ministry” was organized for the seminarians as part of their human and pastoral formation. The sessions were led by Vicar General Sulio, Waqa and Maria from Family Life, and Serenia.

The workshop focused on effective communication, self-awareness, and healthy relationships. The seminarians reflected on understanding their feelings, communicating openly, listening to others, and learning to respond rather than simply react.

The seminarians also explored their personality styles and traits, helping them to better understand themselves and how they relate to others. They were reminded that every person is created good, lovable, and unique.

The final sessions focused on physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, as well as celibacy as a gift for relationships. The seminarians also reflected on clericalism and the importance of listening to, respecting, and valuing lay people and families in ministry.

Overall, the workshop was a valuable opportunity for the seminarians to grow in self-awareness, communication, emotional maturity, and healthy relationships, preparing them for a more compassionate and effective priestly ministry.

✨St Jean Vianney Feast Day✨

Today, we joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of St. Jean Vianney. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Paulo Lui Voreqe, SS.CC., and the seminary community warmly welcomed him back.

Fr. Paulo encouraged the seminarians to always remain grounded in humility as they continue their journey of formation and discernment.

As the seminarians begin their two-week break, we wish them a restful, refreshing, and blessed holiday. May this time renew their minds, hearts, and spirits. Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon!

✨Student Council✨
Today, during the celebration of the Mass, the new Student Council for the academic year was officially presented to the Pacific Regional Seminary community. The Mass was presided over by our Rector, Rev. Fr. Tino, who encouraged the newly appointed student leaders to embrace their roles with humility, dedication, and a spirit of service.

We congratulate the new Student Council and wish them every success as they serve the seminary community throughout the year. May the Holy Spirit guide them with wisdom, strengthen them in their responsibilities, and inspire them to lead by example.

✨Farewelling our Priests✨

We bid farewell to three of our beloved priests as they embark on new chapters in their ministry.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Peau and Fr. Simeon Iloa as they depart for the Philippines to further their studies at the University of Santa Thomas.

We also keep Fr. Aruiti in our prayers as he continues his studies in Rome at the Urbaniana University. In addition, two more priests are awaiting their visas to begin their own academic journeys abroad.
May God bless each of them with wisdom, strength, and good health as they pursue higher learning in service of the Church. We wish them every success.

We also wish Fr. Gerard every blessing as he begins teaching at ACU in Australia next term. We are grateful that this is not goodbye, as we look forward to welcoming him back in the second term next year.

Thank you, Fathers, for your faithful service, dedication, and the many ways you have enriched our community. You will be remembered in our prayers, and we wish you safe travels, good health, and God’s abundant blessings in all that lies ahead.

May the Lord continue to lead and protect each of you. God bless you always.

The Rector, Faculty, Staff, and Lay Community of the Pacific Regional Seminary extend our heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Fr. Jake Yolpowa on his Priestly Ordination, celebrated yesterday in his home country of the Caroline Islands.

We also acknowledge with gratitude Bishop Julio Angkel, who served as the Principal Celebrant and Ordaining Bishop for this joyous and sacred occasion.

Fr. Jake, we thank God for your faithful response to His call and for your commitment throughout your years of formation. As you begin your priestly ministry, may the Lord bless you abundantly with wisdom, courage, humility, and joy. May the Holy Spirit guide you each day as you proclaim the Gospel and faithfully shepherd God's people.
