The PRS Rector, Rev Fr. Tino, attended a series of important meetings with the Dicastery for Evangelization, the Peter and Paul Association, and the Dicastery for the Clergy. He also had the opportunity to meet with the Director of Affiliations and the Dean of the Faculty of Theology at the Urbaniana University.

These engagements were undertaken with a view to strengthening collaboration and fostering opportunities that will contribute to the growth and development of PRS. The discussions were constructive and are expected to bring significant benefits to the institution in the future.

The Temat toilets and bathrooms have been successfully upgraded and the project is now complete.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Marist Mission Centre (MMC) for your generous support and kindness in making this possible.

The seminarians are very happy and grateful for the improved facilities. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference to their daily lives and well-being.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our seminarians.

On behalf of PRS, we would like to sincerely thank you, Bishop Simon Mani for your generous donation of our new solar lights. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated by everyone in our community.

These solar lights will make a meaningful difference by providing reliable lighting, improving safety, and helping the students during the evenings. Your thoughtful gift brings hope, comfort, and encouragement to PRS.

We are truly grateful for your generosity, compassion, and dedication to supporting communities in need. May God continue to bless you abundantly with good health, wisdom, and strength in your ministry.

The newly renovated washrooms at the Wantok and Emmanuel buildings are already showing a major improvement in comfort, cleanliness, and accessibility for everyone using the facilities. Although renovation work is still underway, the upgraded spaces reflect a strong commitment to creating a more modern, hygienic, and welcoming environment for the students, and visitors alike.

The ongoing works include updated fittings, improved plumbing systems, fresh interior finishes, better lighting, and enhanced ventilation to ensure the facilities meet higher standards of convenience and functionality.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this period of construction and improvement. The final outcome will greatly enhance the overall appearance and usability of the Wantok and Emmanuel buildings.

Part 2

To commemorate our feast day, we ended the night with items presented by the seminarians, each sharing something from their own nationality.

They were lively and brought so much laughter, with everyone gathered around the basin of grog, socializing and enjoying the moment together.

The last social for Term 2—wishing all the seminarians a restful break. May God bless us all.

Part 1
St Peter Chanel Feast Day 🙏

Fr. Lote Raiwalui SM presided over today’s Mass and, in his homily, encouraged everyone to stay focused on what lies ahead and not dwell on the past. The celebration was joined by his brother priests, the newly ordained Deacon Soane Siua SSCC, and all those who attended today’s Mass.

It was truly a prayerful and enlightening celebration as we honoured the feast of St Peter Chanel.

Today also marked the end of Term 1 for the seminarians. We wish them a restful and blessed break, and pray that this time of rest will help prepare and strengthen them for the next term ahead.

✨Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all✨

Today, Fr. Tino, our PRS rector, together with his brother priests, the lay staff and our mothers, visited the families of the nine men who are still missing at sea.
It was a quiet and emotional time as we came together not with answers, but with compassion and solidarity.

We especially went to stand beside Mareta’s family, who works with us, to offer our heartfelt support and sympathy during this deeply painful time, reminding them that they are not alone in their sorrow.

With you in prayer during this time. May God’s peace, comfort, and strength be with you always. 🙏
