MEDIA RELEASE

Greetings Everyone & Ni sa bula!!

Nabua Primary School has a new Management Board that was formed this year who is keen and interested in forming all the required support bodies that a school needs in order for the school to function better.

I have been contacted to organize a “get together” to revive the old scholars association.

This invitation is extended to all Ex-Scholars members of Nabua Primary School if we could please meet at the School’s basement during Fiji Day holiday, Monday, 10th October 2016 at 10.00am to discuss ways and means to revive and empower the Association.

We will also form a new Committee who is dedicated to the interest of the Association and also to assists the school whenever possible. We urge all Ex-students of Nabua to make the effort to attend with your nominees of who should take charge.

During this meeting, we will also have a time for an open soli to start the Association starting from the 50’s to start the Association.

After our meeting we will have some refreshments to celebrate Fiji Day.

Hope all is well your end.

A have a message from the school – since Poasa is away, I am relaying to you the school (Management) call for the Old Scholars to meet in October 10th at the school.

1. The school wants the Old Scholars to work with the school and be part of the management of the school at all times

2. The school wishes to allow Old Scholars to look after some of the developments (2017 projects) in school if accepted by the Old Scholars, some of the developments include :

 Walkway to the ablution block
 Renewal of wooden block; and maybe
 Look after MILO ruggers & netters for 2017 ( mid 1st term to 2nd term only)

Reasons for meeting in October 10th
a) Old Scholars Reunion – to gather the old scholars together in school for the purpose of items (b) & (c) below:
b) Old Scholars Meeting – to let them know of the school plan mentioned in Nos. (1) and (2) above
c) Old Scholars Soli – to create your own account to start off with and if your members wish to assist with 2016 financial needs in school, we will only accept 30% of your soli of the day or whatever your members wish to give the school - manager can give you some financial needs when he return from Kadavu next week for your records.

3. Primary School Old Scholars present committee to run the show in October; if you think your committee can’t run the show then can you elect your members who you think can run the day’s event.

4. Parents to also be welcomed to join the Old Scholars on the day, the board members will also be with you in this event but the days program is yours.
5. I have been chosen to work with your committee for this event.

Bula & Warm Greetings Everyone!

Welcome back to our Nabua Primary School Ex-Scholars Page with the hope that most of us have had an exciting and awesome start of the year 2014, with family and personal commitments to deal with, foremost the Back To School Rush for a new school year.
To those of us who had to go through certain sad and unwanted experiences we express to you our heartfelt sympathies for whichever circumstances you may have gone through and pray that Our Good Lord will continue to bless us all abundantly.

As of now we would like to kindly advice all of you our dedicated members, that we have our upcoming AGM on 14th February 2014, which we wish to request that all members that is available on this certain date to be present, have your say and be heard on issues regarding our beloved school and as well as our Ex-Scholars Association. All other necessary details regarding our AGM will be posted up shortly.
