Your Government has confirmed the continuation of its Back-to-School Support for the 2026 academic year, reaffirming its commitment to helping Fijian families prepare their children for school with confidence.
Minister for Finance, Hon. Esrom Immanuel, said the initiative remains one of Governmentโs flagship programs to ease financial pressure on families. Each eligible child will receive $200 to help purchase school uniforms, shoes, bags, stationery, lunch boxes, and other essentials.
Since its launch, the program has supported thousands of families across Fiji.

โก๏ธAssistance Amount: $200 per child (ECE to Year 13)
โก๏ธEligibility: Families with a combined annual household income of $50,000 or less
โก๏ธTotal Budget Allocation: $40 million in the 2025โ2026 National Budget

-Submit completed forms to your childโs school for verification.
-School heads will upload verified applications into the FEMIS system.
-A separate form is required for each child.

-Families already receiving full transportation assistance or students with blue cards:
โก๏ธNo need to complete full forms (income already verified).
โก๏ธMust still submit a partially completed form.
-Families earning below $50,000 and not receiving transportation assistance, or with yellow cards:
โก๏ธMust complete the full form, including income verification by an authorised officer.
โก๏ธMust sign the statutory declaration section in the form (no separate declaration needed).
-ECE to Year 12 students (entering Year 13 in 2026) apply through their current schools.
-Children entering ECE for the first time in 2026 must enrol first before applying.
-Year 13 students in 2025 are not eligible.

-School heads will be held accountable for all submitted information.
-The reminder follows fraudulent cases found in previous years involving false applications and altered FEMIS data.
-Parents and guardians must ensure:
โก๏ธAll details are accurate, especially mobile numbers.
โก๏ธMobile numbers are registered for M-PAiSA or MyCash.
โก๏ธNo changes can be made after submission.

-Payments commence: Friday, 16 January 2026
-Provides families enough time to prepare for the new school year starting 26 January 2026.
-Payments for students progressing from Year 12 to Year 13 will be made once exam results are released and enrolment confirmed.
-Funds disbursed via:

โก๏ธDigicel MyCash
โก๏ธPost Fiji (TMO) for maritime families without mobile coverage
-All service fees covered by Government โ parents receive the full $200.
