WORLD TELECOMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SOCIETY DAY 2026
VIDEO COMPETITION

The World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2026 Video Competition, held at CETVET, was successfully completed under the theme “Digital Lifelines: Strengthening Resilience in a Connected World.”
The event brought together students and young creators who showcased powerful and creative video presentations highlighting the role of digital technology in strengthening communication, supporting communities during crises, and building resilience in an increasingly connected world.

The competition created a meaningful platform for participants to share ideas on how digital tools can improve access to information, enhance preparedness, and support recovery during emergencies and challenges.
The program was well received, with strong participation and engagement throughout the day. FNUSA generously sponsored refreshments and dinner for all participants and guests, contributing to the smooth and welcoming atmosphere of the event.
FNUSA extends its appreciation to all participants, organisers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event.

"Education brings about opportunity, and in turn inspiration" - Bill Frist

The Year 11 students of Queen Victoria School - Bau House had visited our campus on the basis of exploring the practical aspects of the study.

The students were able to get a glimpse of what goes on within the College of Engineering and Technical Vocational Education and Training. Today, tours were held by the faculty and staff of the respective schools: School of Science, School of Transport, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrical & Electronics and the School of Building & Civil Engineering as well as ex scholars of QVS. While the tours were ongoing, members of DSA were simultaneously prepping refreshments and juice at the ERDC which were later distributed at our very own foyer.

Vinaka vakalevu to the QVS Bure Bau Y11 Academic Committee for the initiative, our College administration and everyone that played a role in making today's programme a memorable one.

A common phrase often taken for granted: Health is Wealth. Many diseases and illnesses can claim lives if they are not treated early, which is why regular checkups are a must.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of health screenings whenever available and make their wellbeing a priority. Your health matters!

The Easter Service at Derrick Campus was a blessed and uplifting success, made possible through the support and collaboration of the organizers FNUDSA and CETVET Dean's office, sponsors FNUSA and Staff, Christian Fellowship FNU, and New Methodist Christian Fellowship (Souls to Jesus) Ministry.

Through powerful Praise, Worship, and the Word of God, we were reminded of the true meaning of Easter—the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, bringing hope, salvation, and new life to all believers ✝️🌄.

We also gratefully acknowledge the refreshments sourced from Na Valenikuro, the cake from Bakewell Cakes, and the hot
cross buns from Hot Bread for adding warmth and fellowship to the occasion.
