Following the official directive issued by the Ministry of Education, together with advisories from the Fiji Meteorological Service and the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) regarding the ongoing adverse weather conditions, all Fiji National University campuses nationwide will be closed on the 2nd of March 2026.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of the body of a police officer in Lami this morning.

The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu confirmed that the 24 year old police officer was on duty at the Lami Police Station last night.

Commissioner Tudravu said the circumstances surrounding the young officer's death are now under investigation, and a post mortem will be conducted to confirm the victim's cause of death.

Commissioner Tudravu has conveyed the organisation’s condolences to the officer's family.
