​Dear Hope Preschool Families,
​Please be advised that Hope Preschool will be closed tomorrow, Monday, May 25th.
​🔧 Reason for Closure: Emergency Plumbing Difficulties. ​We are currently experiencing unexpected plumbing issues on-site that require immediate emergency repairs.

​At Hope Preschool, our highest priority and core responsibility is the health, safety, and well-being of your children. Operating a school without fully functioning plumbing compromises hygiene, sanitation, and comfort. To maintain the high safety standards you expect and that your children deserve, we must close the facility until these repairs are completely resolved.

​Our maintenance team is already working diligently to fix the issue. Once the situation has been fully sorted, we will provide an immediate update regarding when classes will resume.

​We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this sudden closure may cause your family. Furthermore, Given the current unfavorable weather conditions, we kindly ask you to keep our kids safe, warm, and dry at home tomorrow.

The Ministry of Education wishes to clarify that the “School Closure Notice – Hantavirus Precautionary Measures” currently circulating on social media is fake and has not been issued or endorsed by the Ministry.

The public is advised to disregard this misinformation and refrain from sharing unverified content that may cause unnecessary fear and confusion among students, parents, and school communities.

Official announcements from the Ministry of Education will only be communicated through verified government platforms and official media channels.

ATTENTION ⚠️ PARENTS & GUARDIANS

ALL SCHOOLS TO REMAIN CLOSED AS CYCLONE VAIANU INTENSIFIES TO CATEGORY 2

With the Fiji Meteorological Office escalating Tropical Depression Vaianu to be Cyclone category 2, and in the interest of public safety, the MOE in consultation with NDMO is advising that all schools are to remain closed tomorrow and tertiary institutions are urged to make the necessary call as deemed fit.

All students including boarders are to remain at home and the situation will be closely monitored with further advice to be issued accordingly .

The Minister for Education Hon Aseri Radrodro wishes all Fijians and visitors to Fiji a safe week ahead and is urging that parents and guardians closely monitor their children and ensure no one attempts to cross flooded creeks or rivers and drains.

And children are not to swim in rivers, creeks or the sea during this period likewise.

It is better to urge all children to read books or do school revisions during this period of natural disaster .

Meanwhile, all Heads of School are to liaise with the District Education Office and provide updates on the status of their respective schools, including those being used as evacuation centres.
