Vivekananda Technical Centre (VTC), Malolo is pleased to inform all interested farmers that free duruka (Saccharum edule) cuttings are now available for collection.

Duruka, also known as Fijian asparagus, is a nutritious and high-value traditional crop that grows well in Fiji conditions and provides good income opportunities for farmers.

This week, our team hosted an International Women's Day morning tea to celebrate the incredible women who work and study at Vivekananda Technical Centre

This year's theme, 'Give to Gain', speaks to the power of reciprocity and support. At VTC, we live this every day. Through our free agricultural courses, we support women and girls in building skills and gaining employment. And in return, we gain so much: their knowledge, their resilience, and their vision for the future.

VTC looks forward to learning from and supporting more women in the future.

Today Vivekananda Technical Centre, Nadi, Fiji together with Ministry of Youth and Sports FIJI held graduation ceremony for 60 participants who successfully completed:
🌱 Certificate in Agriculture (Spice Production) (Level 2)
🌿 Certificate in Production Horticulture (Level 2)

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Hon. Jese Saukuru, Minister for Youth and Sports, whose presence highlighted the Government’s continued commitment to empowering youth through skills development and sustainable agriculture.
This milestone reflects our shared dedication to building skilled farmers, promoting sustainable farming practices, and strengthening food security in Fiji. Congratulations to all graduates as you step forward to contribute meaningfully to our agricultural sector and communities.
