International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 2026.
Today, our school proudly observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with an awareness program aimed at educating our students on the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of making positive life choices.
We were honoured to have guest speakers from the Police Department, Medical Department, and Social Welfare Department, who shared valuable insights on the harmful effects of drugs, the legal consequences of drug-related offences, and the support services available to those in need.
The presentations helped create awareness among our students and reinforced the importance of living healthy, responsible, and drug-free lives.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all our guest speakers for taking the time to educate and inspire our students. Together, we can build a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.

I warmly welcome all students, teachers, parents, and school communities back for Term 2 of the 2026 academic year.
As we begin this new school term, I want to reaffirm the Ministry of Educationβs commitment to building a strong foundation of progress and opportunity for every child in Fiji. Education remains our highest priority, and we continue to work towards ensuring that every student has access to quality learning and the support they need to succeed.
I would also like to remind students and parents that the redeeming of bus cards is now available at all locations previously announced by the Ministry. Please ensure these arrangements are completed promptly to support smooth attendance from the first day of school.
I acknowledge and sincerely thank our donor partners for their continued support in helping address the needs of the Ministry and in strengthening the delivery of quality education for future generations.

Remain determined, work hard, respect your teachers and parents, and make the most of every opportunity provided to you this term. Your dreams and aspirations can become a reality through dedication and perseverance.
This term, we will continue to place strong emphasis on strengthening teaching and learning, addressing learning gaps, and improving literacy and numeracy outcomes across all year levels.
Parents and guardians are reminded of their important role in supporting regular school attendance, healthy routines, and positive behaviour at home, all of which contribute significantly to student success.
Our teachers have reported to their respective schools today for planning and preparation, while boarding students have also returned ahead of the resumption of classes. I acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our teachers and school leaders, and I reaffirm the Ministryβs full support for their important work.
Parents, communities, and the Vanua are also encouraged to continue working closely with school leaders to create safe, supportive, and productive learning environments for all students.
Together, let us make Term 2 a successful and rewarding journey for all learners across Fiji.

With the Fiji Meteorological Office escalating Tropical Depression Vaianu to be Cyclone category 2, and in the interest of public safety, the MOE in consultation with NDMO is advising that all schools are to remain closed tomorrow and tertiary institutions are urged to make the necessary call as deemed fit.
All students including boarders are to remain at home and the situation will be closely monitored with further advice to be issued accordingly .
The Minister for Education Hon Aseri Radrodro wishes all Fijians and visitors to Fiji a safe week ahead and is urging that parents and guardians closely monitor their children and ensure no one attempts to cross flooded creeks or rivers and drains.
And children are not to swim in rivers, creeks or the sea during this period likewise.
It is better to urge all children to read books or do school revisions during this period of natural disaster .
Meanwhile, all Heads of School are to liaise with the District Education Office and provide updates on the status of their respective schools, including those being used as evacuation centres.

His inspiring message reminded our newly inducted prefects to lead with integrity and uphold the values of the school.
It was wonderful to see so many proud parents present to witness their children being inducted and badged. Despite the unfortunate fire incident at the school which resulted in substantial loss of school property and resources the morale was quite high in the school.
Heartfelt thanks to the teachers for being strong and resilient and organise such a wonderful programme .
